01:03but what i like to do for our videos is imagine a sphere around me take a hit and then

02:13for this week's meeting we will be discussing crystals this is just an introduction to crystals

02:20because i am still a bit of a beginner with them but crystals are magical items that most people have

02:30in some form or another a lot of people have jewelry that features their birthstone and i am

02:36one of them i meant to put on one today but i forgot i have i think two or three

02:44necklaces with garnet

02:48but we'll get to that later each stone has its own powers and symbolism they can be used for enhancing

02:56rituals healing connecting with entities good fortune inspiration and more if you can't tell i work with

03:05hellenic entities and deities and the hellenic god of stones is actually my patron god hades a lot of gemstones

03:15are found underground which makes it part of hades domain as king of the underworld however each

03:24specific stone has its own connections to entities for example my birthstone is garnet and the hellenic

03:33deity associated with it is persephone because it reminded the ancient greeks of pomegranates

03:41according to myth after being kidnapped by hades persephone ate seeds in the and blah blah blah blah no

04:36properties they also connect with your chakras when i use crystals for healing i hold the stone and meditate

04:45while focusing on healing of course there are many ways to heal with crystals but as i said before i'm

04:52kind of a beginner with working with them so i don't know all of the intricacies just yet

04:59there are many professional healers who do use crystals in their work though so it is definitely a

05:07legitimate healing method you may be wondering how to pick your stones personally i use the rock identifier app

05:16as my main resource for information on stones those who work in witchy shops can also help direct you to

05:24the right stones

05:26i usually look at the meanings and uses for each stone that i consider

05:32and when selecting a specific stone i think that it's best to go with whichever one sort of

05:38calls to you or you feel drawn to or connected to and that's your intuition at work so don't ignore

05:49with all that said here's some information about some of the stones that i have and my primary source

06:06remember things very well sometimes so here we are anyway first up is garnet as i said before garnet is

06:15my birthstone it also happens to be my favorite stone this is my garnet right here

06:21it may look black to you now but if you hold it up to the light you can see that

06:28it's actually dark red

06:30as i said before it is connected to persephone it holds the powers of passion love creativity protection

06:40grounding and energizing and it connects with all of the chakras number two is kumbamba jasper

06:49kumbamba jasper is also known as kumbaba jasper nebula stone or crocodile jasper kumbaba jasper is not

06:59actually a form of jasper it is a form of rhyolite which is a type of volcanic stone mine is

07:08in the shape

07:08of a heart this is my heart stone as it were it is good for healing motivation creativity insight improving

07:18self-esteem and improving confidence it connects with the crown and third eye chakras and this stone

07:27is connected to gaia and sometimes persephone because mine is in the shape of a heart that makes it a

07:35heart

07:36stone as well which is sort of a stone that represents your heart and that also connects

07:42mine specifically with hestia the goddess of hearth and home because one of her symbols is a heart stone

07:51number three is pyrite i love this one so shiny

07:57and if you if you could see there's like so much going on inside of that

08:04anyway pyrite is known as iron pyrite fool's gold cats and gold alpine diamond brass balls copper stone

08:18called caden liver pyrites marcosites mundic cider pyrite cider pyrite cider

08:33sulfide it can be used for healing protection wealth confidence balance focus motivation the

08:41vanishing negative energy improving mental health emotional healing and vitality

08:49it connects with the solar plexus chakra the zodiac sign leo and the elements of earth and fire it also

08:59connects with apollo and hephaestus number four is snowflake obsidian mine actually has very little of the

09:08snowflakes but there it is snowflake obsidian is also known as flowering obsidian cephrolitic obsidian white

09:18snowflake obsidian and gray snowflake obsidian it is used for grounding peace calm harmony balance

09:26changing old behaviors courage intuition personal growth protection and strength it connects with the

09:35root and third eye chakras the zodiac signs virgil and scorpio and the element earth there is no common hellenic

09:44deity for this stone but i personally would connect it with gaia and demeter

09:52chrysacola this one's another fun looking one it's very bright look at that uh it's so beautiful

10:03chrysacola is also known as chrysacola light phoenix stone abdolla goo turquoise oh god

10:12chal costa kite copper pitch blend demidaw fight demidaw fight somerville light and lanka

10:25it is used for femininity creativity releasing negative energy communication especially about feelings

10:34calming soothing balancing cleansing love and strength

10:40it connects with the heart and throat chakras the zodiac gemini and the element water it is not

10:50traditionally connected to a hellenic deity but i would connect it to persephone poseidon and hera

10:57number six is bloodstone you can't see but there's little red dots in there bloodstone is also known as

11:06heliotrope it can be used for enhancing magic strength weather manipulation invisibility confidence

11:15boosting increasing determination lucid dreaming aiding decision making balance harmony courage intuition

11:23protection spiritual growth strength the sun and vitality it connects to the root chakra pisces aries

11:34libra and earth there isn't a traditional connection with a hellenic deity but i would connect it to

11:43hades and helios number seven is rose quartz this one is my rose quartz rose quartz is a very popular

11:55stone

11:56nowadays it is also known as pink quartz highline quartz heart stone love stone and lavender quartz

12:03it can be used for love joy acceptance emotional healing unity improving all aspects of life calm confidence

12:12and passion passion and personal growth it connects with the heart chakra taurus libra and water

12:22it is connected to aphrodite and eros i will pause the list here and continue in next week's meeting so
