00:00And by the way, earlier today, Tampa beats Texas 3-2.
00:05Cedric Mullins, who I was just inquiring about, in fact, it's a home run, I think, to win it in
00:12the game, 3-2 there.
00:13But Shane McClanahan got pulled in this for back tightness, I think, in the third or fourth inning.
00:20And that's not great for Tampa there, that they've already got a couple of guys, right,
00:26with Seymour that they're trying to figure out, do we bring in a starter, do we do it?
00:31Listen, nobody does that whole bulk relief thing better than Tampa and Kevin Cash there.
00:36But if McClanahan's going on the show, if this is some sort of long-term, that's a problem for Tampa
00:43here, I think, as well,
00:45as they try to lock up the American League East.
00:48And, you know, I think there's a big difference between Tampa hosting a playoff series
00:54and having to go the road to Yankee Stadium, right?
00:58A hundred percent, Joe.
00:59That you hit the nail on the head with that.
01:01Who has the most wins in the American League at home in baseball this season?
01:06Who has the second most wins at home in all of Major League Baseball?
01:11Tampa Bay.
01:12They know how to play there.
01:13I don't know why.
01:15I don't know exactly how it works.
01:17Do they know how the turf works and bunting and the outfield?
01:20Maybe.
01:21Like, maybe they've got the secret sauce there at the drop.
01:23I don't know.
01:24But the facts are the facts.
01:27The new roof.
01:28It's dark now, by the way.
01:29You can't see through it anymore.
01:31I know.
01:31It's crazy.
01:32I was there earlier this year.
01:34So, I think, you know, look, the way that it's undenable.
01:38Joe, they just took out the Rangers, like, no problem.
01:41You know?
01:41Like, they're just, they went to Boston.
01:43They got hammered.
01:44But then they get back to the drop and they win.
01:46So, it's a rare team where I agree with you.
01:51The Rays need to try to get the one seed or the two.
01:56Like, they can't fall beyond that and all of a sudden have to open up and play maybe somewhere else.
02:00So, I don't know what their plans are.
02:03So, their plans, Joe, generally will be different than some others because they're the kind of team that's going to
02:09make, like, creative moves here.
02:11But I don't see them taking a, like, big salary for one year.
02:15Like, that I don't see.
02:17So, you know, what would they do?
02:19Like, even though Matt Chapman's not playing on San Francisco and Camonero plays third.
02:24Let's just use that contract as an example because that's not going to happen.
02:27Like, I don't see them taking that kind of player with four more years and $20 million a year.
02:31No.
02:32So, they'd be looking at creative bullpen pieces.
02:36Maybe, you know, May is actually a good example of a guy they probably could bring in and have him
02:41pitch four or five innings at a time and then go to that bullpen, use an opener, use a closer
02:44two.
02:45So, that's kind of what I expect from the Rays.
02:48But that's a great point by you.
02:49They absolutely have to be at home.
02:51And by the way, I would take them at home in the first round of the playoffs, too.
02:54I think they'll win.
