00:26By 2030, the country plans to increase its annual production to 500,000 tons of copper, 155 tons of gold,
00:37500 tons of silver and 10,000 tons of uranium.
00:41Uzbekistan aims to launch 76 projects, targeting 28 rare minerals, with a total investment of more than 2 billion euros.

01:11The Almalik Mining and Metallurgical Complex is one of Uzbekistan's and Central Asia's leading producers of copper,
01:18molybdenum, polymetallic and gold-bearing ores.
01:22It also ranks among the world's top 30 copper producers.
01:25We are in the Kalmakar open-pit mine, one of the largest copper deposits in the world.
01:31This massive site supplies millions of tons of copper ore each year, playing a key role in Uzbekistan's mining and
01:38metallurgical industry.
01:46And today, our annual production costs more than 38 million tons per year.
01:53Our main metal is gold.
01:55We are constantly mining, silver, molybdenum, and also small metals.
02:02We are in total 13 metals.
02:03At the Auschwitzman deposit, key metals include copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, and sulfur.
02:10Rare elements such as rhenium, selenium, and tellurium are also extracted here.
02:15This is the Chalkapiri. This is the gold-bearing. This is the main mineral of gold.
02:22The mine stretches 4 kilometers inland, 2.3 kilometers in width, and reaches at depths of 250 meters.
02:30The mining has increased in width in 2,5 times. This is enough for more than 50 years.
02:39Another key component of the Almalak complex is the zinc plant.
02:44It produces zinc, cadmium, sulfuric acid, zinc oxide, copper clinker, and zinc sulfate,
02:50with annual zinc output reaching up to 120,000 tons.
03:09To reduce environmental impact, a new sulfuric acid production unit is being launched.
03:16It will capture and process industrial gases that would otherwise be related into the atmosphere.
03:37With rising production and major investments, the mining sector is set to play a growing role in the global critical
03:44minerals supply chain.
