00:30Bu feedback is clear. Manual defending should be the best way to stop your opponent.
00:35So we've tackled that from a number of angles this year,
00:38taking power away from the AI and giving it to you when you are defending.
00:43You'll feel the difference as soon as you take control.
00:46Your player will jockey more responsibly.
00:48You'll also have a larger tackling range, a larger interception range,
00:52and a larger blocking range when defending manually.
00:55For example, the AI isn't quick enough to cut off the angle and can't quite reach to make the interception.
01:01But when you take control, that quicker jockey can get you into position
01:06and you're able to reach farther to win the ball.
01:09We've also minimized AI auto-tackles and competitive gameplay.
01:13The AI will still be able to win the ball if your opponent dribbles right into them,
01:17but they'll almost never lunge for the ball or reach into a challenge.
01:20And we've loosened teammate contain and team press in the defensive third.
01:26The AI will still get into solid defensive positions,
01:29but taking manual control will give you more tools to stop your opponent.
01:33We've also reinvented corners to reduce luck and continue to reward skill.
01:39In FC 27, corners are split into two phases.
01:43One to prepare your pass and one that gives you creative control over your run.
01:47Pick your spot and power up your cross.
01:50Then, you'll have a few seconds to lose your marker
01:53so you can time your run to arrive at the perfect moment.
01:57This unlocks so much set-piece creativity
01:59and equal amounts of set-piece chaos we see in leagues around the world.
02:03In attack, you'll have more control over how your teammates run off the ball.
02:07New creative runs completely reinvent how the attacking AI makes runs
02:12to give you options going forward.
02:14Just like top strikers around the world,
02:17your teammates will now curl along the back line
02:20and hold their runs, giving you more time to spot and pick a pass.
02:24These curved runs help your players find open space
02:27and avoid defenders that could slow their momentum.
02:30You can now trigger these curved runs,
02:32bending them around the back line to set up the perfect pass.
02:35You'll see more realistic movement from your teammates in authentic gameplay as well.
02:40Not just with how they make runs,
02:42but also how they look, with more natural and composed animations.

02:53New off-balance dribbling is another way we've made gameplay more fluid.
02:58Elite dribblers will maintain control of the ball as they stumble and ride challenges.
03:02This was inspired by the likes of Pedri and Musiala,
03:06who find creative ways to keep the ball under control even as tackles fly in.
03:10We've also improved one-twos and quick-passing sequences.
03:14Players maintain speed more effectively and accelerate more responsibly.
03:19This happens at the animation level,
03:21making it feel like one fluid action to give you more freedom of movement after making a pass.
03:26Those tiny details have a huge impact on your experience,
03:30which is why we've really invested in gameplay fundamentals again this year.
03:34Here's what we've improved based on your feedback.
03:37Last year, we put a lot of time into helping you retain possession after winning the ball back.
03:42While we solved for a lot of situations,
03:44there was more work to be done, particularly after interceptions.
03:49To make that next step,
03:50we fundamentally changed how defenders treat interceptions.
03:54Instead of prioritizing blocking the pass,
03:57players will now prioritize controlling the ball,
04:00yielding more consistent outcomes
04:02and helping you retain possession.
04:05Each shot type has been carefully tuned in FC27
04:09to shine where they would in a real match,
04:12rewarding you more for choosing the right one
04:14in the right situation
04:16and ensuring there's less of an all-finesse or all-load-driven meta.
04:21We know this is a huge topic in the community
04:23and we're continuing to rework the balance between playstyles and attributes
04:28to ensure playstyles don't overshadow other aspects of a player.
04:33In FC27, attributes will be more impactful to a player's abilities
04:38and it's likely something will continue to balance throughout the year.

04:52and give you more ways to attack your opponent.
04:55This variability makes crossing even more about your skill.

05:07We've attacked this from multiple angles.
05:09Defenders won't be able to commit physical challenges from behind
05:12nor will they be able to simply run into the dribbler to win the ball.
05:16And attackers have been given even more tools to withstand tackles
05:20from more consistent shielding
05:22to the new off-balance dribbling that we mentioned earlier.
05:25Each of these fundamental changes
05:27is designed to deliver on what we've heard from you over the last year
05:30and because we know that feedback will continue
