00:00Good seeing everybody. I sure appreciate you being here at this beautiful setting.
00:03Just a really, really great place. Really, really happy with practice. Really happy with
00:10the situation as far as what we found here when we got here. I thought our staff did a phenomenal
00:16job, led by Megan Rosberg and many, many others. Just did a great job of getting us on point.
00:23And I think I just can't say enough about that. And then Greenbrier people too. So accommodating,
00:29so welcoming. And not just roll out the red carpet, but try to make it the most productive
00:35that they can for us. The fields are in great shape. Probably the number one thing is the
00:40fields and they're in great shape. So really, really happy about that. And then the mountains,
00:45man, really, really incredible. Who drove up? Anybody? Yeah. How was the drive? Yeah, not bad.
00:50Kind of nice, huh? Pretty? Yeah. Yeah, I bet. We flew over you probably.
01:00But it was tough getting out of Newark. It's been that way lately. So we're excited. We're off to a
01:07good
01:07start. And we're looking forward to taking it one day at a time. What questions do you have?
01:11What did you think of the spirit, the energy, the overall enthusiasm of your group?
01:15I was really happy with it. I thought we were on point. You know, guys were, you know, there was
01:20a
01:20determination. Nobody was happy-go-lucky coming in. Everybody was in good spirits. But more than that,
01:26they were focused and determined to get off to a good start. I saw that from when they reported
01:31over there at the facility, did the conditioning tests and all that at our place in East Rutherford.
01:38And then here when we got here and then today. So I expect that to continue.
01:43What was it like having him coming back out there for the individual?
01:45It was great. It was great. Yeah, you saw him. He looked good and got a process going, right?
01:51And I thought he looked good. What's the next step? Is it just to see how the body feels or
01:57what is the next thing? Yeah, you know, next will be what will be tomorrow, you know, and we'll see
02:02where he's at. That part of it will be that, how it feels, how it responds, how it reacts, all
02:07those
02:07things. I think that our guys and our trainers and staff will be monitoring, you know, and see
02:12how the knee responds more than anything. But we'll just take it one day at a time. It's encouraging to
02:24you to take it one day at a time, you know, meet the meet the circumstances where we find
02:32them, you know, every single day. I mean, maybe he'll maybe he'll get way ahead. Maybe
02:37he'll get maybe he won't whatever you want. Whatever. You can't really put a timetable
02:41on exactly. I don't think I think you just see where it goes. And he's the bottom because
02:47we want him to be at his best. So when he's ready to be at his best, he'll be at
02:51his best,
02:52you know, and if you work hard every day, you know, the body's amazing. So he's been doing
02:56that. So that's really what matters. And that's all we try to really measure.
03:00It looks like he went inside at one point. Is that just, he went inside at one point? Is that
03:04part of his plan?
03:05Yeah, yeah, yeah. He'll do as much as, you know, we kind of, we have, we have plans each day.
03:09So we'll have a plan tomorrow, how much he's supposed to do.
03:12And then see how he feels when he's out there. If you push it a little bit, you pull it
03:15back a little bit. That could happen from day to day. He, he's not, he wasn't scheduled for a full
03:19practice today.
03:20I don't think he'll be scheduled for a full practice for a little while yet. So we'll see where we
03:25go.
03:25John, is he further along than you expected him to be? Maybe say back in May, but he put in
03:30a lot of work to get to the point he is now.
03:33Yes, he did put in a lot of work. I think that's probably the answer to the question. Really no
03:37expectation. I've learned that you really just,
03:39there's no predicting anything really, but he has put in a lot of work. I mean,
03:44I think I really am impressed with how hard he's worked or, you know,
03:48Adam has been working with him personally along with, along with Allie.
03:52And I just think he's worked really hard. He deserves,
03:55he deserves to be out there doing what he did today. You know, it's really cool to see.
04:00John, last year at this time, you weren't here obviously, you know, Jackson,
04:03they were taking second team reps, third team reps.
04:07What did you see, you know, he goes in here to establish number one.
04:11What did you see from day one?
04:13I thought he had a good day today. You know, he had us in and out of the huddle,
04:17called everything correctly, did a great job with the cadence, the line,
04:21did a great job with the motions, all those things,
04:23those pre-snap things that were so important.
04:25And then he executed the plays well. So, you know, he looked good day one,
04:29and tried to go from that.
04:31Did it hit you at all today that you're the late coach of the New York Giants
04:34on this field?
04:35Uh, you mean like in some emotional kind of a way?
04:38No.
04:40Uh, you know, no, I didn't think about it, to be honest with you.
04:42Probably, I mean, it's cool seeing the colors and the logo.
04:47It probably, probably more, once you're out there practicing,
04:50you're just working, right?
04:51But driving in the buses last night, maybe, you know,
04:54when you drive up to the facility off the plane,
04:56and, you know, you see the, you see all the signage and all that,
05:00it's Giants.
05:01That was a pretty cool moment.
05:06John, one point I saw you talking to the officials,
05:08what was that all about?
05:10Well, I just was reminding them that, you know,
05:12they, uh, you don't blow it dead when the defense is in the neutral zone.
05:15Um, I think they do that in his league,
05:19so there's different rules in different leagues and stuff like that.
05:21So, you know, we don't have the NFL guys here,
05:23but these guys are great today.
05:25Uh, this crew is, uh, I think college guys from the local area
05:29in West Virginia's league.
05:31And, uh, they did, they did well,
05:33but I think the rule is different, you know, in that area.
05:35So that's, that's all.
05:36John, is the field thing for you through the years,
05:39which based on years and years of when to push them,
05:42when to hold that collectively as a team,
05:44and together to practice schedule?
05:46You do a little bit of that.
05:48Yeah, sure.
05:48I mean, you know, and, uh, you know,
05:51really with individual players or with groups, you know,
05:53and things like that,
05:54there's a lot of ways to, to manage all those kinds of things.
05:57But we have a lot of really good people, you know,
05:59that are involved in that.
06:01And a lot of science that is involved in that.
06:03So we're, we've got a really good plan
06:06in terms of, uh, all those types of things.
06:08I mean, we can measure how much they sweat.
06:11We're certainly measuring the heart rate
06:13and, uh, breathing and, uh, energy output
06:17and things like that.
06:18So, uh, it's just come a long way.
06:20So you had said in the spring about the Achilles.
06:24Has that encoded for which level?
06:26Any kind of thing changed that all of a sudden?
06:30Now we're in front of you now?
06:31Uh, no, well, I'd love to tell you
06:32that there was some, some magic thing for Achilles,
06:35but there, there hasn't been.
06:37Uh, you know, just to try to, uh, more than anything,
06:40there's a certain body position
06:41that you try to keep guys out of with that.
06:44And, uh, so we try to coach the guys up on that,
06:47our strength staff and the performance staff has.
06:51How much work do you put in as a coaching staff
06:53in terms of the safety of your players
06:55to make sure that they're not succumbed to them?
06:59Yeah, great, great question.
07:00Kind of, just kind of follow,
07:01it's a good follow-up to what we've been talking about.
07:03Uh, we've come a long way with all that.
07:05You know, it's not, it's not as much a guessing game anymore.
07:07I mean, you feel, you feel a little bit to the point
07:10in terms of your team, but that's later in camp.
07:12But we're monitoring every guy down to how much they sweat.
07:15You know, we know those things in real time with the data.
07:19So it's, uh, it's just a lot of good, valuable tools.
07:22Coach, any thoughts about specifically being in West Virginia?
07:26Thrilled to be here.
07:27You know, uh, the opening song of our meeting today
07:29was, of course, you better believe it.
07:31It was great.
07:32And a lot of the guys knew the words.
07:34I knew the words.
07:35So, uh, it was fun, uh, to, to, to kind of
07:38just get here and be a part of it.
07:40I'm just really appreciative of, uh, of the people here.
07:43You know, how good they've been.
07:45I mean, every single person says,
07:46we appreciate you being here.
07:47What can we do for you?
07:48You know, make you feel welcome.
07:50How did Odell look to you today?
07:52I thought he looked good.
07:53I thought he looked good what I saw.
07:54You know, I get a chance to watch the tape after practice
07:56and kind of look at everybody in a little more depth.
07:58That's how he looked good.
07:59John, two more, two more, two more.
08:02What are you evaluating?
08:03Are you harsh on the details and the mistakes right away?
08:06Are you watching more guys out physically
08:08and if they're prepared first and where is your mind?
08:12Yeah, we're chasing execution.
08:14We're chasing execution.
08:15We're at the stage now, we're getting ready for the games.
08:18I mean, that's what practice is for.
08:20We're not here to practice.
08:21It's not a training camp exercise.
08:22We're here to prepare for the games that we're going to play.
08:25What plays we call, how we practice, all those things.
08:28We're not just running plays out here to run plays.
08:30That's what we want.
08:31That's why we want to keep our plays to ourselves, you know,
08:34when we're doing them out here.
08:35So that's what we're valuing is our execution.
08:38What did you learn about Jackson's relationship with his teammates
08:41in the meeting rooms and on the team?
08:44All right, man, he's got a great relationship.
08:46You know, he's a charismatic guy, but he wants to win
08:51and he expects everybody else to want to win.
08:54And we've got a bunch of guys that, you know, respond,
08:56but also a bunch of guys that feel the same way.
08:58So I just think he's got a good relationship with guys.
09:00John, what did you think of the last one?
09:02Scatter the first practice, he's gone forward.
09:05Really successful.
09:06Yeah, he got through it just fine.
09:07Looked good.
09:09It was good to see.
09:10Exciting.
09:11Okay.
09:13All right, thank you, everybody.
09:14Any early impressions of your new head coach on the table?
09:19Man, I love Arbs.
09:21You know, just his intensity, his love for the game, his leadership.
09:28There's a lot of things that stand out as to, you know,
09:31why he's been so successful in this league.
09:34And, you know, all of us are just focused on, you know,
09:37buying in and taking the necessary steps for all of us to grow each and every day.
09:41And, yeah, just super pumped for right now and continuing to move forward with him.
09:48Every head coach has his own demeanor on the field.
09:50How do you describe his on-field coaching career?
09:54Yeah, well, I'm interested to see how it continues to grow,
09:57the more practices that we have.
09:59But right now he's very observant.
10:01He's very observant from every single facet, from the offense, the defense,
10:05the special teams.
10:06He has his hand in every single one of them, of his expectations,
10:10things that he likes.
10:11And then I just think that the really cool thing is, you know,
10:14he's so open to communication from the coaching staff to the players.
10:19And I think that that's just been really cool to just, you know,
10:22have that openness, no ego.
10:25And ultimately, he just wants to obviously win.
10:28And he's got a chip on his shoulder.
10:29So I'm interested to definitely see how his demeanor continues to grow
10:33as we go forward.
10:33Do you have a chip on your shoulder?
10:35Oh, absolutely.
10:35Why?
10:38Because we didn't have a good year last year.
10:40So I can't wait for this upcoming year.
10:43I mean, this whole offseason, I've just been waiting to get back with the guys.
10:46And I really like where we're at.
10:48We've got to continue to grow.
10:49What are your expectations for yourself?
10:52What are my expectations?
10:56Yeah, I think that right now it's just growing each and every day.
11:00There's a lot that I've got to still learn.
11:02There's reps of things that I haven't really had a ton of experience doing.
11:05So, you know, I'm taking it day by day.
11:07I'm trying to keep, you know, everything around me just simple from, you know,
11:11things that I give my attention to to, you know, my daily and study habits.
11:16And, you know, that's just me just trying to continue to grow because, you know,
11:21I saw what it was like last year for a tough season.
11:23It was new for my career.
11:25And, you know, I want to make sure that doesn't happen again.
11:27So just continue to take the next steps and really pouring myself into my teammates
11:32and my coaches.
11:33Jackson, what do you think your mental health need?
11:36What does it mean for this team to have him out there doing this?
11:39Well, he definitely has a presence about him.
11:41There's an aura that he has on the field that is exhilarating, makes me happy,
11:47makes everybody happy just to see him out there.
11:49And I think for him, you know, he's had a lot of positives.
11:53So we're just going to continue to get him in slowly.
11:56And he's doing a great job with how he's attacking his recovery.
12:00So, you know, I got all the confidence in the world in him
12:04and his approach to the game, you know, how much that he's missed
12:07being out there with the guys.
12:08So I think it's definitely, you know, for him, I don't want to speak for him too much,
12:13but I just think it's a really good feeling for him to just be out there
12:15with the team and to be involved in him.
12:17Do you guys have the origin of the president of the field?
12:20I mean, it's a leak.
12:22That's it.
12:23It's a leak.
12:24Every time he's on the field, everybody knows where he's at.
12:26Do you last year, because you know, like, you guys grew and Cam
12:31had less than a half together in the field?
12:34Yeah.
12:34But what do you think this offense will be doing for you guys
12:37around the field together for any standard of service?
12:40Well, it makes me really excited.
12:42That's for sure.
12:43Because, you know, in the short time that we had, as me and Scott,
12:47you know, we're rookies.
12:48You know, there was a lot of energy.
12:50There's a lot of explosives.
12:51And that's what kind of player he is.
12:53Like, he brings a completely different element to an offense.
12:55So, you know, I'm really looking forward to the future,
12:59getting him back healthy.
13:00Because I think the, you know, the sky's the limit for what we can do.
13:04How important fish is it for you, for him to just feed out?
13:10You know, it's just like at the end, just awesome goal.
13:17How beneficial is it?
13:18No, it's huge.
13:20You know, I have a quarter in one week, really, of reps with him last year.
13:25So, any time that we're able to just have communication,
13:28have dialogue between each other, watch tape, which, you know,
13:31we've done a lot, just communication throughout this offseason,
13:34which I think has been really good for us.
13:35And, you know, trying to get those reps before he's, you know, 100%.
13:40And I think that that will help, you know,
13:42mold our relationship into, you know, what we want it to be.
13:45And, you know, he's obsessed with his game.
13:48And, you know, he's attacking him the right way.
13:50Jackson, you know what it was like, the myth of Odell, right?
13:54Yeah.
13:55You know, last year, you know, that kind of thing.
13:58Now that you're his teammate, he's here, and you see him working,
14:02what is that like?
14:03You're talking about the aura from the league.
14:05Yeah.
14:05That was a time where Odell was the definition of that in this league.
14:09So, do you let yourself dream and say, all right, maybe we got something here?
14:14Yeah, I'm definitely excited about Odell.
14:17You know, I think that the big thing is you never know how somebody's going to respond
14:21from, you know, having that time off coming back.
14:23And I think that his ability to pour into his teammates,
14:27and you would think a lot of times, like, you know,
14:29when there's a big comeback that it's about the individual himself.
14:32But he's really just about, you know, the teammates, the guys around him.
14:36And, you know, I've loved having him here so far.
14:39And he's just a great guy.
14:41He's a great leader.
14:44He's had the ultimate experience of the highs and the lows.
14:47And I think that the more that you're able to communicate with him,
14:50get perspectives from him, with him also being, you know,
14:53obviously a really good player, is huge for our team.
14:56Yeah.
14:56I mean, obviously, I have no control, you know,
15:12when that time is going to be.
15:13But I'm really happy with the additions you've made of guys coming in,
15:19stepping up.
15:19And we saw a lot of new guys, you know,
15:21really show their skill set throughout the spring
15:24and into this offseason, into today.
15:27So, you know, obviously, I have no control when that's going to be,
15:30when everybody's going to be 100% all the way back.
15:32But I'm really happy with the guys that we have filling that room
15:36and filling those roles.
15:37And I think just as a team, it brings a lot of competition
15:41and also just gets every single one of us better.
15:45Jackson, you can think about some of the differences
15:47in some of the new things that you're learning.
15:49You know, there's so many more snaps on your center.
15:52What's your comfort level with that at this point?
15:55And what is the difference when you're on your center
15:59of this mechanically?
16:01Yeah, there's a few things mechanically that are different.
16:04Probably just, like, the biggest thing is a little bit of footwork,
16:07landmark, pocket.
16:09But we've repped the hell out of it.
16:12I'm feeling really good with the track that we're on.
16:16And I'm feeling comfortable.
16:17Like, it's not something out there when I'm on the field
16:19that I have to think extra about when I'm having a rep at a certain play.
16:23It's more obviously just about getting the rep
16:25from a conceptual standpoint, getting on time with all the guys.
16:28So, you know, it's been something that we've really, you know,
16:32pushed and really got a ton of reps at this offseason.
16:37What do you think?
16:38Well, this is a new place here.
16:42Yeah, this is, like, old school.
16:43It's like what you see in the movies.
16:44So I was stoked just to come out here with the team.
16:48And it's a cool experience because, you know, in the league,
16:52like, there's so many external factors that guys have, you know,
16:56from the league versus the college.
16:59And, you know, a lot of guys have families
17:01and things that they got to take care of off the field.
17:04So I think that us just being able to come here for, you know,
17:07extended days and just being with one another,
17:11growing our, you know, personal relationships,
17:13but also having great communication, you know, from a football side.
17:17You know, there's not a ton of things to do around here.
17:20So it forces us to be together, and we love each other as a team.
17:23So I'm really excited about it.
17:25Does it help you throw in?
17:27I love it.
17:28I love the outdoors.
17:29So I feel right at home.
17:31How do you feel today?
17:32What do you think you've played?
17:35I thought our offense played at a really high level, just execution.
17:39You know, guys all over the place were making plays.
17:43I'm not sure.
17:44I've got to go back and watch the tape.
17:45I don't think we had any, you know, pre-snap penalties,
17:47which I think was really big for us of, you know,
17:50taking that next step with all the different cadences that we have.
17:53So, and new plays and whatnot.
17:55So I was really happy about it.
17:57And we've got to continue to take those next steps because, you know,
18:00I know Denard's going to be throwing in a lot more things going forward
18:03that we've got to be prepared for.
18:05And, you know, same thing goes with us as these installs go on.
18:08When you played three more in the league's rookie year,
18:11you watched him right from afar.
18:13What is his elite physical attributes?
18:17What are his elite physical attributes?
18:20I mean, when I played him twice in college, I saw his rookie year.
18:26There's not many flaws that show up in his game.
18:29I think that he's, I think he's really good at everything.
18:34Is there one thing that separates, makes him in the league?
18:38One, if you have a pinpoint, one thing?
18:41I think his mindset.
18:43He's just a dog.
18:44Like, he's an ultimate competitor in everything that he does,
18:47whether it's playing ping pong in the locker room.
18:50Like, he just, he's obsessed with competition.
18:54He wants to win.
18:55He wants to do the best.
18:57And, you know, those are guys you want to be around.
18:59Did Coach Harbaugh express his expectations for this team either yesterday or this morning?
19:06No.
19:06I mean, the expectation is to be a better team, you know, right now than we were the day before.
19:11And, you know, that's, that has to be our expectation.
19:15That has to be our daily process of how we go about things.
19:17It can't be anything more than that.
19:18We've got to be where our feet are.
19:19And, you know, we're all just trying to buy into that.
19:23Going into the second year, obviously you're going to just do all things and focus with it.
19:27But do you take a study?
19:28Do you point out, I speak, in that second year league to kind of see, okay, what worked for them?
19:31Just kind of how they approach their second year, their third year?
19:35I mean, I don't really look at it in that way, I guess.
19:40I watch guys from all over the league and the, you know, the really good things that they do.
19:45And just, you know, really try to study as much as I can.
19:47And so it's not really me just singling out guys who are in their second year.
19:51It's, you know, I like to watch the guys who are the best in the league and who have done
19:54it, you know,
19:54the longest and the growth that they have of, you know, just the process that they go through each and
20:00every play.
20:01You know, times for some guys here that it's not always about like an outcome oriented.
20:05It's about the process.
20:06It's about, you know, maybe there's times where there's nothing open, you know,
20:10but you've got to be able to be the quarterback and put your team in the best situation.
20:14So I think that just learning perspective, seeing their perspective through how they play,
20:19really has been, you know, my big process of what I've watched this offseason.
20:23Thanks, Aaron.
20:24Appreciate you guys.
20:25Luke?
20:27The pace and schedule in the camp is quite a bit different this year in terms of the number of
20:32practices you guys have balanced out in the soft days.
20:37What do you think about that?
20:38I think it's a good word.
20:44How do you weigh preparation versus crime versus injury and all that stuff?
20:49I mean, it's all a, you know what I'm saying, it all should be a balance to it, you know.
20:54You never want to overdo it, but at the same time, I'm going to get to work in.
20:57I think it's a good balance of work and, you know, time to recover.
21:01What do you think of your personal look around this place?
21:07It's nice.
21:09It's nice.
21:09It's peaceful.
21:10There's a lot of mountains, trees, and the wildlife.
21:13So, you know what I'm saying?
21:15It's a peaceful view, but there's a lot of chaos on the field.
21:18What wildlife have you seen?
21:20Huh?
21:20What wildlife have you seen?
21:22I think I seen an eagle or something.
21:23It was a big, one big bird that flew over practice field when he was out there.
21:28That's about it.
21:29I ain't seen no bears or nothing.
21:30I ain't trying to see that.
21:32When you're out of the field working, do you see people every time, you know,
21:35doing a great take a look at the sea?
21:37Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:38No, I definitely look into the distance.
21:39Like, like I said, it's beautiful out here.
21:41You know what I'm saying?
21:41There's a couple of cribs up there.
21:43You know, it's nice.
21:44I know there's quite a bit of things.
21:47You know, we're trying to figure out, you know, something to do on the off day.
21:49Maybe we'll go fishing or something.
21:51You know what I mean?
21:51It ain't a lot, but.
21:53It's only one day.
21:54Huh?
21:54It's only one day out of 12.
21:56Well, let's make it work.
21:57Yeah, he was on the other side of the field.
22:00Brian, what was it like to see you back out there just to have it back out there?
22:05It looked good, man.
22:06I mean, I mean, feel good.
22:07You know, you know, he's working to get out there with us.
22:10You know, he's fiending to get back out there, you know, make plays.
22:13But I just don't want him to rush it, you know, so I'll be on him.
22:17I'm taking his time, making sure he's going to treatment, doing his thing.
22:19But it feels good to see him back out there, back in that one.
22:22I'm assuming you don't want him to rush it because of what he can do when he's out there full
22:25time.
22:25I mean, just for sure, in your words, what is he capable of doing?
22:30Man, dynamic.
22:31He's a dog.
22:32You know, a lot of receivers, you know, they got his mentality, in my opinion.
22:37You know, he want the ball with crunch time.
22:39He want the ball when the game on the line.
22:42And, you know, you want that in your number one receiver.
22:44So, I know that kid liked to work.
22:47So, I can't wait until he gets back out there full of us.
22:48Do you let yourself think about Leeds helping?
22:52All right.
22:52What you guys may be able to do on that side of all?
22:56No, because I'm old enough and I've been in this game long enough to know that, you know,
23:02a lot of that shit don't matter at a certain point in time.
23:05It's, you know, it's hype.
23:07It's just about when the lights are actually on, we're actually getting it done.
23:11You know, there's been plenty of teams I've been on that look great on paper
23:15and season still turned out to be dull, you know what I mean?
23:18So, until we put pen to paper, it don't really matter.
23:22For defense, when you're learning to do defense, what do you try to get accomplished
23:30during training camp?
23:31What do you look at as, you know, the top priorities?
23:37Top priorities is obviously getting in football shape, you know, being in better condition
23:42than your opponent.
23:43And I would say really just getting good at your identity.
23:45You know, what you're going to be calling most of the time, you know, it's about,
23:50there's a good handful of calls that you're going to have that you can always fall back on
23:53and you need to be able to execute them against any look, any personnel that the office may
23:58throw at you, and that's kind of what you need to focus on.
24:01Do you know what that is, yeah?
24:02Do I know what it is?
24:03Like your identity.
24:05Identity?
24:06Yeah, so do you know what that is or is that something that has to happen
24:09throughout training camp, throughout the preseason?
24:12It developed through training camp, but, yeah, I know what it is.
24:16Brian, what was it like just in general to be out there for the first day
24:19and how did you take this first practice with?
24:21It was good.
24:22It feels good to be back with the guys, back playing ball.
24:25You know, you miss it after a while, so it feels good to be back.
24:29And today was good.
24:30Today was good, but we got a lot more to build onto.
24:33You know, like the group here that you're going to be going to battle with this year?
24:36Yeah, who wouldn't?
24:39How did you coach our ball first time on the field?
24:42Being training camp, what have you observed?
24:45What did you observe about him and his demeanor?
24:48He intense.
24:50I mean, but I knew that from his team meetings.
24:53But, I mean, you know, he's all about ball.
24:55That's what you want in the head coach.
24:57What was his message to the team, I guess, last night?
25:01Last night?
25:03Did he give you this morning, did he give you a message about what he expected in practice?
25:08Yeah, he makes it very clear what he expects.
25:10He expects you to work, expects you to be a pro, show up on time, you know, prepared.
25:15He's not a man for excuses.
25:17He understands, like, stuff happens, but he ain't trying to hear too much of that.
25:20You know what I'm saying?
25:21I got a job to do.
25:22Where do you feel that intensity?
25:25Every time he opened his mouth, that's just who he is.
25:28Like, he can't help it.
25:28He just got that intensity, regardless.
25:31Enthusiasm, I should say, not intensity.
25:33Enthusiasm.
25:34Damn it.
25:36Batteries out.
25:38I don't know what you did in life, but that was karma for something you did.
25:41I don't know what you did.
25:43That's okay.
25:45I got prepared.
25:46You talk about his intensity.
25:48He's going to run a harder camp.
25:50As players, how much do you expect this to be a harder camp or harder than you're used to?
25:55Or maybe what you've been through?
25:57I've been through it.
25:58I don't know about any of the younger guys that have been through it, but, I mean, camp's supposed to
26:01be hard.
26:02Can y'all be good?
26:04Don't we wait?
26:04No, I'm just interested.
26:06Are you interested in the train?
26:07See what it looked like, yeah.
26:08Yeah.
26:09Might be 20 minutes.
26:10But, no, camp's supposed to be hard, and that's how it's supposed to be, but I don't know, man.
26:15We're definitely going to work, and I'm looking forward to it.
26:18Brian, you talked to us about Abdul, obviously, like last year.
26:23He ended the year really strong, and you have to see him as the maturity board.
26:26What do you expect him to see him being a bonus year on the field?
26:31I expect him to break out.
26:34He got a year in his belt.
26:35You went through whatever you went through.
26:38Like you said, he ended the year strong last time.
26:41So, I mean, at the end of the year.
26:42So, I expect him to break out.
26:44I expect him to pick up where he left off.
26:46So, I expect him to pick you out at the field.
26:48Do you see a different approach?
26:49Maybe just knowing more just from the early years of setting your guy,
26:52you see a little bit of adjusting for your game?
26:55Just maturity.
26:55And, you know, that comes with being a young player.
26:58You know, you just learn your lessons, and you just move on, and you mature.
27:02It's just part of the game.
27:05How much do you guys rely on each other?
27:06You talked last year about, yeah, that's a plan.
27:09And, you know, I got you a lot.
27:11You and Jermaine a lot talking about what you see and what you see.
27:14It looked like today, three or even more of you guys, like sharing tips, sharing secrets.
27:19How much does that help you as a team and as a team as a team?
27:23It helps a lot.
27:24I would just say because, you know, at the end of the day, we're competing, you know,
27:28to kill each other out here.
27:29But at the same time, we understand that we're on the same team.
27:33And any tip that I can give to him, any tip that he can give me is going to help
27:36us
27:37for the greater good.
27:38And I think that Abdul growing up, Tibb's always been that type of guy.
27:42ATB's always been the type of guy.
27:43Us, you know, having those conversations about what we see and the tips that we can give
27:46each other, whether it's from a stance.
27:49Or an approach, or an angle, in a rush, whatever it can, whatever it can be that
27:53can help us in the game.
27:54I feel like they're open and willing to give me that information.
27:58Brian, do you think if you guys had run a more vigorous camp last year,
28:02you would have gotten off to a faster start as a team?
28:05Nah, I can't speak to that, really.
28:07I mean, I don't know.
28:11Ask that again.
28:12Like, if you guys had had a more vigorous camp in this type of case,
28:18would you have gotten off to a faster start as a team do you think?
28:21I really don't know.
28:23I can't really tell you that answer because it didn't happen.
28:27But did you feel like you guys were prepared or unprepared?
28:30I feel like we were prepared.
28:32Yeah, I feel like we were prepared.
28:33But, I mean, you just can't really speak to something that you didn't do.
28:37Brian, for you, you may be on the second team.
28:40You talked about letting you get that.
28:42Tell me you can handle it.
28:43So, what does that look like for you this year with that on your rest of the camp?
28:47The second team off, bro.
28:49I mean, I got something else to work towards.
28:51Trying to get first team.
28:52You know what I'm saying?
28:53Just the goals just keep getting higher.
28:55You know what I'm saying?
28:55That's a great accomplishment.
28:57I appreciate people that voted for me or whatever, however that worked.
28:59But, there's still a lot of meat left on the bone, so I got to keep working.
29:05How do you feel these accommodations are?
29:08It's kind of easy to get up.
29:10You know, you don't have to think about it anymore, right?
29:12It's all right here.
29:13I mean, this is a famous resort.
29:16What have you seen so far?
29:17I mean, how does it seem?
29:20How does it seem like being out here?
29:21Yeah, just, I mean, you know, the rooms, the meeting.
29:24You know, it's a whole different thing.
29:26We've been in the league a long time.
29:28Yeah, but in Carolina, we always went away, like, at a college dorm or something.
29:33This doesn't look like a college dorm, does it?
29:35No, it's very colorful.
29:36Have you been inside?
29:37I've heard.
29:38I've seen it.
29:38Yeah, there's a lot of colors in wallpapers, but, I mean, it's a different scene, so, I mean, it's cool.
29:44I like it.
29:45It's not the decor you would put together for your crib, as you said.
29:48To each his own, man.
29:50To each his own.
29:51My crib looked different.
29:52Thank you, Brian.
29:53All right, y'all.
29:53Thank you, Brian.
