00:00Really, the process kind of became pretty similar to what I've been doing for a long time on YouTube, so
00:04I'm sure, you know, avid AV fans are probably going to have thoughts about, you know, the realism of this,
00:10and I think as I talk about the length of this project, like trying to get so many things accurate,
00:16and I'm usually such a stickler for like technical accuracy, when it came to the look of the camcorder footage,
00:21we were sort of operating from a, given the ambiguity of not identifying the exact body of the camera,
00:28sort of working from a, we had some wiggle room to define the look ourselves, and there's some information regarding
00:34like the way that it looks like this tape has probably been copied and digitized at some point in time
00:38that you can maybe drive a little bit of narrative information from, so there's a few parameters that we were
00:44able to tweak outside of the simple context of like, what camera did they physically use, and like the shot
00:49where Bobby's holding it and turns to the side is more of like an optical illusion where the real camera's
00:54right out of, right at the angle where you can't see it, so it looks like he's using the,
00:58the proper handycam, you know, like I think we go hard on the interlacing for a sort of, there's a
01:03few things we wanted to look at to sort of sharpen the image and make sure that we are, we
01:08have enough clarity when we're blowing up the image on such a big screen, but really the process kind of
01:12became pretty similar to what I've been doing for a long time on YouTube, so in a lot of ways
01:16it's the, it's the exact same process, we were running it through the same VCR and doing all the same,
01:21you know, distortion techniques for specific moments, so it's very similar in that regard.
