00:14Life's end isn't it beautiful it's almost tragic when life ends it gives off a final lingering aroma
00:27Light is but a farewell gift from the darkness to those on their way to die
00:33I've been waiting Snake for a long time
00:38Waiting for your birth, your growth, and the finality of today
00:43Boss, why are you doing this?
00:49Why?
00:51To make the world one again
00:55The world used to be whole
00:58But with the end of the second world war, the philosophers began to fight amongst themselves
01:03And the world was torn apart
01:06The cobras, my comrades, who trained and fought alongside me, were torn apart as well
01:13The foibles of politics and the march of time can turn friends into enemies just as easily as the wind
01:19changes
01:20Ridiculous, isn't it?
01:52Yesterday's ally becomes today's opposition
01:57I didn't raise you and shape you into the man you are today just so we could face each other
02:02in battle
02:04A soldier's skills aren't meant to be used to hurt friends
02:10So then what is an enemy?
02:13Is there such a thing as an absolute timeless enemy?
02:18There is no such thing and never has been
02:22And the reason is that our enemies are human beings like us
02:26They can only be our enemies in relative terms
02:32The world must be made whole again
02:36The philosophers must be reunited
02:39I will devote my skills to that purpose
02:43And with the colonel's money, I will achieve that end
02:47Just as I once created the cobras
02:50They are my family
02:54I may no longer be able to bear children
02:58But I still have a family
03:04It was November 1st, 1951
03:08I was in the Nevada desert participating in atomic testing
03:16The name Nevada is derived from Spanish
03:19Covered in snow, white as snow
03:25And snow is exactly what I saw in that Nevada desert
03:30It froze my blood white
03:35Snake
03:36You were an atomic test subject, weren't you?
03:40On Bikini Atoll
03:43That's part of the reason I was drawn to you
03:45You and I are alike
03:49We're both slowly being eaten away by the karma of others
03:55We'll never have the chance to die peacefully of old age
03:59We have no tomorrow
04:03But we can still have hope for the future
04:08In 1960, I saw a vision of the ideal future
04:12From space
04:14Three years earlier, the Soviet Union had succeeded in launching Sputnik
04:20The first man-made satellite in history into orbit
04:24This came as a huge shock to the United States
04:28In response, America threw everything it had
04:31Into its own manned spaceflight project
04:33The Mercury program
04:37Even as the Soviets seemed poised to send their first man into space
04:41America was still experimenting with chimpanzees and rockets
04:48The government wanted human data
04:52So they secretly decided to send a human being into space
04:58I was the one they chose
05:02At the time, they didn't have the technology to block out cosmic rays
05:06And whoever they sent up would inevitably be exposed to heavy radiation
05:10That's why they chose me
05:12After all, I'd already been irradiated once
05:15Of course, you won't find any of this in the history books
05:19I could see the planet as it appeared from space
05:24That's when it finally hit me
05:26Space exploration is nothing but another game in the power struggle
05:30Between the US and the USSR
05:34Politics, economics, the arms race
05:36They're all just arenas for meaningless competition
05:41I'm sure you can see that
05:42But the Earth itself has no boundaries
05:45No East, no West, no Cold War
05:50And the irony of it is
05:52The United States and the Soviet Union
05:54Are spending billions on their space programs
05:57And the missile race
05:58Only to arrive at the same conclusion
06:02In the 21st century
06:03Everyone will be able to see
06:06That we are all just inhabitants
06:07Of a little celestial body
06:09Called Earth
06:13A world without communism
06:15Or capitalism
06:16That is the world I wanted to see
06:21But reality continued to betray me
06:28In 1961, I was sent to Cuba
06:31To Bahia de Cochinos
06:35It was part of a CIA-sponsored invasion
06:38Under the guise of taking Cuban exiles
06:41Back to their country
06:44But the US government betrayed them
06:46Our weak-kneed president
06:48Held back their air support
06:50Defenseless, the exiles were annihilated
06:52By the Cuban army
06:53All I could do was watch in silence
06:59I was set up by the very country
07:02I'd sacrificed so much for
07:03By the very government
07:05I dedicated my life to defending
07:09I was driven from the surface world
07:11And I went underground
07:15Then, two years ago
07:17I faced the sorrow
07:18My old comrade in battle
07:23He was my friend
07:26But one of us had to die
07:30I was left with no choice
07:34The sorrow gave his life for me
07:38There is no enmity between us
07:41One must live
07:42And one must die
07:44That was the mission
07:47The ones who gave me that mission
07:49Were the philosophers
07:55Early in the 20th century
07:57The true holders of power
07:58In the United States
07:59The Republic of China
08:01And the newly formed Soviet Union
08:03Gathered together in a secret meeting
08:05That would later be known
08:07As the Wiseman's Committee
08:08The secret pact they formed there
08:11Marked the beginning of the philosophers
08:14But the last of the original members
08:16Died in the 1930s
08:19After that
08:20The organization began to run out of control
08:23And the Wiseman's Committee
08:24Degenerated into a mere shell
08:26Of its former self
08:28The philosophers of today
08:30Have no sense of good or evil
08:32Their influence extends to countries
08:35And organizations involved
08:36In every aspect of every war
08:38They have become war itself
08:42That's how they operate
08:43The sacrifices of war
08:46Cause a shift in the times
08:47This shift leads to renewed conflict
08:50And in turn triggers the next war
08:52Like a nuclear chain reaction
08:54Each conflict sparks countless others
08:57Forming an endless spiral
08:58That will continue on for eternity
09:02Do you understand what I'm saying, Snake?
09:05By consuming me and you
09:07The philosophers intend to keep that cycle going forever
09:13It was my father who explained all of this to me
09:18He was one of them
09:21You see
09:23I am the last remaining child of the philosophers
09:29But after he revealed the truth
09:31My father was killed by that same shapeless, formless organization
09:39And my father isn't the only thing the philosophers have taken from me
09:46In June of 1944
09:48The Cobras and I took part in the landing at Normandy
09:53We'd been given a top secret mission to locate and destroy enemy V2 rocket installations
10:01I was pregnant at the time
10:05The sorrow was the father
10:08I gave birth on the field of battle
10:12A beautiful baby boy
10:15But my child was snatched away from me
10:18By the philosophers
10:32Look at this scar
10:34This is proof that I was once a mother
10:38I gave up my body and my child for my country
10:43There is nothing left inside me now
10:47Nothing at all
10:49No hatred
10:50Not even regret
10:52And yet sometimes at night
10:54I can still feel the pain creeping up inside me
10:58Slithering through my body
11:00Like a snake
11:08I've never talked this much about myself before
11:12Thanks
11:13Thanks for listening to me
11:19I feel content
11:22Snake
11:26Commence the operation
11:31I raised you
11:33I loved you
11:35I've given you weapons
11:36Taught you techniques
11:37Endowed you with knowledge
11:40There is nothing more for me to give you
11:44All that's left for you to take
11:46Is my life
11:48By your own hand
11:50One must die
11:52And one must live
11:53No victory
11:55No defeat
11:56The survivor will carry on the fight
11:58It is our destiny
12:02The one who survives
12:03Will inherit the title of boss
12:06And the one who inherits the title of boss
12:10Will face an existence of endless battle
12:15I'll give you ten minutes
12:19In ten minutes
12:21Migs will come and bomb the hell out of this place
12:24If you can beat me in less than ten minutes
12:26You'll be able to escape in time
12:30Let's make this the greatest ten minutes of our lives, Jack
12:35Boss
12:35You're a soldier
12:37Finish your mission
12:40Prove your loyalty
12:45Face me
12:46Fla目
12:47I love has no magic
12:47I love has no magic
12:47It's your our пока
