00:00Hi, I'm Nina Lopez-Corrado,
00:02and welcome to House of the Dragon.
00:04I'm directing episodes five and seven of season three.
00:07I'm mic'd up today, and I'm super excited
00:10to have you guys in the director's chair with me.
00:13Election!
00:20The scene we're capturing today
00:22is a really pivotal scene for Larys.
00:24This is the first time that he's going
00:25to really stand up to Aegon.
00:27And so we get to kind of see this other side of Larys
00:30that I'm really excited to show the audience.
00:34Poor darling Eamond and his scabby little eye.
00:38You've done nothing but whinge.
00:41You who had every advantage in life.
00:44You who had every chance to shine.
00:48Firstborn son, you could have risen to greatness.
00:54And cut!
00:55I think we can feel just a little bit more of your anger,
00:59especially, like, as it, as it fell towards the end.
01:03Right.
01:03Want to try one more?
01:04Yes, please.
01:05Action.
01:06The finest tutors, the finest knights,
01:09instructing you on the sword.
01:11Dragons so beautiful, they named him after the sun itself.
01:13Wow.
01:14OK, cut.
01:15All right.
01:18As you can see, there's a little light drizzle right now,
01:20so we're getting a little bit nervous.
01:21We have two setups left.
01:23So we're going to hope that it stays away.
01:26Act natural.
01:27There's a camera on us.
01:28That's such a good idea, Nina.
01:31Generally, on a wide shot, especially something that was super wide, like we just did,
01:34I won't go a second time, especially if we know we don't have a lot of time in the day.
01:38And this was one of those cases.
01:39The actors did a great job with the performance, and they hit all their marks.
01:42And then we'll jump into kind of a medium-wide shot, and that's when we'll really start working on performance.
01:47This is Yutzi, my first AD.
01:50Yutzi's the best.
01:52She makes sure I'm safe, keeps us on schedule.
01:54The schedule is super tight, and every hour, every minute is precious for us,
02:00so we just have to make sure that we deliver.
02:03We are in good shape today.
02:05Just a pickup for when he was standing next to Ega.
02:09All right, so we don't do the whole seat, we just do it, and action.
02:15You could have risen to greatness, but instead you trampled your birthright in the mud.
02:26You lazed, reveling in mediocrity, fucking anything in sight, and drinking yourself into
02:35oblivion with your sycophantic friends.
02:42I will tell you the truth.
02:45You were a terrible king, but worse than that, you are a terrible man.
03:00Yeah.
03:00All right.
03:02That's a wrap.
03:04Thank you for taking care.
03:07You're happy.
03:08Yeah, very happy.
03:09Yeah, it's going to be really good.
03:10Sweet.
03:10Yeah.
03:11All right, that's it.
03:12We did it.
03:13We made the day.
03:13Thank you so much for sitting shotgun with me, and I hope you enjoyed your time in the director's
03:18chair on House of the Dragon.
03:20Thank you again, thank you for watching this video.
03:21Bye.
03:21The first time I started hearing about you.
03:22Thank you so much.
03:22Bye.
