00:49dangerous maneuvers against Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources ships.
00:53This during a mission close to Bajo de Masinloc in the West Philippine Sea.
00:57The Philippines reports no injuries or damage from the incident.
01:01The PCG says a China Coast Guard vessel sailed close to the BIFAR's ship BRP Datu Dumang Sil,
01:07while another used dangerous maneuvers on BRP Datu Payuburong.
01:11The CCG ship later used water cannons against the Datu Dumang Sil, although it was not hit.
01:16But the PCG says the missions pushed through and were able to provide fuel subsidies to fisherfolk in the area.
01:22Both PCG and BIFAR vessels regularly patrol Philippine maritime spaces.
01:27This marks the latest tense encounter between Manila and Beijing in the maritime and political spaces.
01:33During a foreign minister meeting between the two countries,
01:36China's Buang Yi warned Manila of bitter consequences of its own making
01:40if it continues to provoke Beijing with the support of outside powers.
01:46Prosecutors of Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial respond to Senator Judge Robin Padilla's call
01:51for the prosecution to not be one-sided.
01:59The remark drew an immediate reaction from the House Prosecution Panel,
02:03prompting Presiding Officer Cheese Escudero to tell the front row to maintain order in the court.
02:08Lead Prosecutor Jinky Luistro notes,
02:10The impeachment trial is adversarial.

02:23Luistro asserts that the prosecution's role is to remain quote-unquote biased in presenting the case

02:40Meantime, Padilla attempts to do damage control for his one-sided remark.

02:47Justice is neutral and the responsibility of the prosecution is not to win,
02:51but to bring out the truth and protect the innocent.
02:53The defense's duty is to ensure the respect of the human rights of the accused.

03:09First, for food and beverage for the defense team to be served in their designated holding room at the Senate.

03:21And last, the Senate should shoulder the costs of food, beverage, and catering services for the defense team,
03:26support staff, and witnesses.
03:28But Senate President Wind Gachalian rejects her request, saying we cannot afford it.
03:32He says the Senate's expenses are also expected to increase
03:36because it has to rent space at the Philippine International Convention Center
03:39for the upcoming budget deliberations and committee hearings.
03:42On the other hand, the House, whose members serve as prosecutors in the trial,
03:46pays for the operating expenses of the prosecution panel.
