00:00Yeah, so across the car we've got 26 kilowatt hours of capacity so we've got
00:04one battery in the front which is where the fuel tank used to be so we're trying
00:08to keep that weight balance very similar and then we've got another one behind
00:12the rear seat as well. And so why are Beetles and Combis and Type 3s and
00:17everything so popular with the conversions? Well it's really it's about
00:20trying to improve the performance of very easily so it's a bit like having a
00:24sleeper car to the past you know where people try and hide big V8 motors in it
00:28you couldn't really do it subtly whereas with an EV conversion now that the
00:33kits are getting a lot smaller the power units are getting smaller but the
00:36performance is getting so much better. Why are we looking at range and battery size?
00:40And so something like this will give us a couple hundred kilometer range if we go
00:43with a long-range version yeah we might get more like 350 and same as
00:48petrol and diesel cars you know depends how you drive it so yeah people forget
00:51that fuel economy on a petrol car can change 30-40% depending on how you drive
00:56and where you drive. Awesome thanks Ed. Great!
00:58Thank you!
