00:00So now we're inside the new Tesla Model Y, and they had to absolutely nail this interior because
00:05there is a lot riding on this car. Honestly, they've done it. The interior of the car is
00:09very, very good. For one, the seats. You could mistake it for leather. It's as good as any
00:14synthetic leather in any car that's less than, say, $120,000 Australian dollars, so really
00:19impressive. Everywhere you touch soft-touch materials, including all the way up here
00:22on the upper dashboard, which continues that leather theme, stitching everywhere, which
00:27elevates the experience inside the cabin. They've even got rid of some of these rattles, which
00:31drove me insane in the previous model car. You've got the same sort of wireless phone charging
00:37as before, the same general storage area here, which is extremely deep. I mean, look, it almost
00:43swallows my entire arm. Even these are damped. Center console storage, once again, huge. If
00:49you want more storage, go buy a truck or something. I can't really get over the quality of the
00:54materials in this cabin, even down to the door handle here, where it's not real leather.
00:59It's the same one that's found on the seats and on the upper trim of the dashboard, but
01:02it just feels very high quality. And this material here is very Polestar to Polestar in general,
01:09I would say. I'm not sure if it's recycled, but it's padded. Up here where your arm rests,
01:14padded too. It's really, really comfortable. It's at the right height. And they've actually fixed
01:18this sort of leather that was used on the steering wheels of previous Model 3s and Model Ys. This is
01:24a different type of material here, but it's sort of similar to what's been used on the seats, but
01:28I quite like the scripted Tesla logo here. Steering wheel will look very familiar to those that have
01:33driven new Model 3, except for one thing, no silly steering wheel indicators. We've got a precision
01:40engineered indicator stalk, which I have to say does actually sound quite good.
