00:00Well, for the NFL season this coming year, I mean, who do you have and who do you like this
00:05year on the teams that you think may be making a move there this year?
00:10Well, you know, another team that I think is interesting that that is not getting a whole lot of buzz
00:15is one of the very best teams in the league.
00:18And that's the San Francisco 49ers.
00:21The Los Angeles Rams are making all the headlines with Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald and this and that.
00:26And you've got the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, you know, ready to run it back and this and
00:32that and the other.
00:33And nobody's talking about this team that I think has gotten better and gotten healthier.
00:38And that's one of the huge formulas in the NFL.
00:41You've got to stay healthy, right?
00:42If the 49ers can stay healthy, which they have struggled to do, certainly on occasion, I think they're as good
00:49as anybody in the game.
00:51You add Mike Evans.
00:52I think that's tremendous for that Kyle Shanahan offense.
00:55Christian Kirk, I think, fits into that mold as well.
00:59Ricky Pierce, all of he stays healthy, I think, is an excellent possession receiver.
01:03The kid they drafted as a backup for Christian McCaffrey, I think, will turn out to be a very good
01:09running back.
01:10No surprise, a running back works in the Shanahan system.
01:13So that's a team I bet at 10 to 1 to win the NFC.
01:17And I've seen that number come down.
01:19Apparently, I'm not alone in my liking of the 49ers.
01:22I've seen that number come down to about 7 to 1.
01:25The other bet I made in the offseason, Dan, is going against the Patriots.
01:31It's kind of an age-old trend to go against the team that lost the Super Bowl in the year
01:36prior.
01:36It's very hard to recover from that hangover, and we see that time and time again.
01:41We know the schedule has gotten much more difficult for the Patriots.
01:45And, oh, yeah, there's a little offseason distraction going on, too.
01:49I don't think the next season sets up real well for Mike Vrabel and company.
01:53I took their season win total under 10.
01:56So you think potentially, then, that the A.J. Brown acquisition will be a negative on the football team because
02:03of –
02:04think about where he came from.
02:06He came from a team the last four years, Brady, that was 50 and 18.
02:10He was making $32 million.
02:11And if you're not happy there, how are you going to be happy in New England?
02:16So you think maybe on the other side that they might be something that takes that team off focus.
02:22Plus, they got a harder schedule.
02:24They got a harder schedule.
02:25We saw how susceptible to pressure that offensive line was, not only in the playoffs, but especially in the Super
02:32Bowl.
02:33You know, Drake may come back.
02:35Is he going to be able to be as good as he was last year?
02:38Probably not.
02:39Not going to be awful, I imagine.
02:41But, you know, maybe the reunion with Mike Vrabel, with A.J. Brown, maybe that lends a spark to the
02:47situation.
02:48But I just think overall, the Patriots are going to come back to the pack off of what they did
02:52last year in a miraculous-type season.
