00:05In this video, I mention a Walt Disney reference that may appear in the 1995 Square RPG video game Chrono
00:15Trigger.
00:15This was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, also known as the Super Famicom.
00:22This featured some of the top RPG game staff of the era, including Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy,
00:32Yuji Horii, creator of Dragon Quest, and Dragon Ball artist and writer Akira Toriyama.
00:40Alright, so to see this, the location is in the time period 1080 in the opening of the game.
00:47Yes, Chrono Trigger is about time travel.
00:49The location is Lean Square, where the Millennial Fair is taking place.
00:56I thought the Disney reference in this game may be a pink balloon that hangs over one of the stalls
01:03in the market area in the center of the fair.
01:07If you take a look at this, it looks like the Disney Mickey Mouse logo.
01:12Interestingly, Walt Disney and Square teamed up a few years later on the Kingdom Hearts RPG.
01:21Versions of this were ported to many systems, including the PlayStation 2.
01:25In this game, Square took its own role-playing characters that the game fans knew over the years,
01:32and they teamed them up with the traditional Disney characters, such as Donald Duck and Goofy.
01:40From the original 2002 Kingdom Hearts release, there were many sequels.
01:47As of this recording in 2025, there is a 15th game planned in this series with an undetermined future release
01:59date.
01:59There were no characters or references to Chrono Trigger, per se, in the Kingdom Hearts installments of the past.
02:08But this may be a possibility for the future.
02:11This video is actually research I had done after looking at the Ninja Gaiden game franchise created by Tecmo.

02:25Game artist, director, and writer Masato Kato, for example, of Ninja Gaiden, later worked with Square on Chrono Trigger.
02:35He also worked with fan-favorite Japanese animators Gainax on Nadia the Secret of Blue Water, Fushige no Emi no
02:44Nadia.
02:45Hideaki Anno, who later worked on Evangelion, co-directed and was a co-creator on this,
02:53along with Japan's own Walt Disney, Haya Miyazaki.
02:57In my other videos, you can also see apparent links to the Super Eurobeat music series.
03:04AVEX and the Eurobeat artists did a special series of music albums where they remixed the popular Disney theme music
03:16over the years.
03:17And this was called Eurobeat Disney, released in the year 2000.
03:21And as I mentioned, why that's relevant to Ninja Gaiden is that in the 88 arcade game,
03:28there are apparent references to the Lupin 3 anime films, including Castle Cagliosha from 79, which Haya Miyazaki directed.
03:39And there's some Nostradamus imagery in Ninja Gaiden.
03:43Interestingly enough, the 1995 Lupin 3 film deals with the subject of the 16th century French prophet.

04:21and show past, present, and future information about actors
04:25and other personalities that may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
