00:00John Kime is a dear friend of the program.
00:02Known John a long time.
00:03John Kime had Jeremy Fowler on his latest podcast.
00:06And I just want to run through some of the conversation they had.
00:13And you just tell me what you hear, B.
00:15Because I always appreciate what you hear.
00:18Jeremy Fowler on Brandon Ayuk.
00:21I don't know how Washington can, in good faith, sign him right now based on the situation.
00:28They backed off of him.
00:31I can't tell you that they told me.
00:33But nah, this would be kind of a must win.
00:40And if he comes in and do anything stupid because something may not go right,
00:45it got a lot of people on high seat.
00:47What's that song?
00:48Too much sauce.
00:50Too much.
00:51It's just too much.
00:52Yeah.
00:54Never say never in this world.
00:56No, one thing about football and talent, you can never say never.
01:01It's just too much.
01:03Like maybe if he just went.
01:05Go silent for a bit.
01:06Go silent for a bit.
01:07Yeah.
01:08Go silent for a bit and file your reinstatement paperwork.
01:12That might help out a lot.
01:15That right there.
01:16If you don't do that, then you're telling me you don't want to play.
01:19Stanley, tell me the last B.A. video we've gotten.
01:21Look at his Instagram.
01:23Yesterday was the one dance with the hat.
01:24I think that was two days ago.
01:25Yesterday with the hat, wasn't it?
01:27Was it yesterday?
01:27I pulled it up yesterday with a hat.
01:29With the hat to match.
01:31Just dancing, doing his little.
01:32If he went silent for a couple weeks, filed his paperwork, all of a sudden,
01:37August 1st hits, Sam Fran actually releases him.
01:39If the next post is, I signed my paperwork, I would applaud that.
01:44The last post, I believe, was two days ago with him dancing in a commander's hat.
01:50And like, that's just become the norm now.
01:52It doesn't even make you blink.
01:54No.
01:55Dancing around in a commander's hat, even though you're under contract with the Niners.
01:58Yeah.
01:58Which is kind of a wild indictment of where things are.
02:02That's your right to do that, but still, you put the other, the team you're trying to get to in
02:08a bad predicament.
02:10I can't imagine, like when Harris and Rails text each other.
02:16Let's be real.
02:17Those dudes have seen these videos too.
02:19They gotta be like, what the hell is going on here?
02:22Because they don't know the player.
02:24At least AP knows the guy.
02:25We'll take the marketing now.
02:28Especially when he's like, commanders.com slash tickets.
02:30We got way more eyes starting to look at stuff.
02:33Hey, we'll take the marketing.
02:34We like this, man.
02:35We're not even paying this dude in these marketers.
02:37This is a player we talked about the other day, Keenan Allen.
02:39Yeah.
02:40Last year went, 81 catches, 777 yards, four touchdowns.
02:46Valor says he's heard Keenan Allen's name chattered a bit.
02:49Mm-hmm.
02:50I don't know, but frankly, don't think Keenan Allen's moving from the West Coast.
03:00Like, I kind of see him signing back with the Chargers.
03:04He went to Cal, although I guess he's from North Carolina.
03:08He went to high school in Guilford County.
03:10Jay, professional athletes go with the money of that.
03:14I agree with all that, but, like, he has played 13 years in the NFL, 12 of them with the
03:21Chargers.
03:22Had one year with the Bears.
03:25I would like Keenan Allen.
03:26I think he fits what this team needs.
03:28He's an outside guy, big possession receiver.
03:31Not going to be explosive, but, like, at this stage of his career, he certainly was for a period.
03:36Mm-hmm.
03:38If it is Keenan Allen, I'm good with that.
03:42Yeah.
03:44Listen, man, whoever you get like this situation now, you're looking at a guy for a year or two, Max.
03:52Oh, yeah.
03:53These are all going to be one-year deals.
03:55And you want somebody who can come in, hit the ground running, knows how to play, is a professional, and
04:02go out and work.
04:04So then you also obviously still have the Steph Diggs.
04:07Again, this is Fowler talking via the John Kime Podcast.
04:10John Kime Report, maybe.
04:11Sorry, John.
04:13For Steph Diggs, says he thinks you're talking $8 to $12 million.
04:18So say that's $10, right?
04:20That's the middle.
04:23Diggs would take a deal that helps the team.
04:28I'm not entirely convinced on that.
04:30I'll take it, like, this is the thing.
04:33If I take, if it's $8 to $12, let's say I take $8,500 with some incentives.
04:38Sure.
04:39And I still think I can cook, I can make that money up.
04:44Diggs says he doesn't believe talking with people around the league that Diggs' off-field stuff is a concern.
04:49I agree with that.
04:51Yeah.
04:51It got, the league has come out and said there's not a suspension coming.
04:55The allegations were thrown out by the judge.
04:57The league looked at that and was like, okay, we can't try to come down with the hammer if the
05:02judge was like, get out of here.
05:03Right.
05:04Yeah.
05:05Now.
05:05Although they try sometimes.
05:07Now, could, like, because of Steph's high visibility relationship or former relationship with Cardi B, like, could there be some
05:16stuff there?
05:17Like, could there be Instagram and social media?
05:19But also, who cares?
05:20Yeah, but the thing about.
05:22If you can catch touchdowns.
05:24When Kelsey was dating.
05:25Swift.
05:26Swift.
05:27Nobody cared about that.
05:28Now they're married.
05:29Yeah.
05:29So high profile is not going to hurt.
05:33Here's my thing with Diggs.
05:3585 for 10-13, four touchdowns last year on 55% of the snaps.
05:41He was, of New England's receiver, both Mack Hollins and Kayshaun Booty got more snaps than he did.
05:47So he was the third highest, like, played receiver, if you will.
05:53But it was much more efficient.
05:56Way more productive.
05:57Yeah.
05:58I think he had more.
05:59Dubby, pull that for me.
06:00I think Diggs had more receiving yards than Booty and Hollins combined.
06:05If not, it's damn close.
06:07That says it damn enough.
06:10I know from talking to people that Steph's workouts, he's running faster now than he has in the last five
06:15years.
06:16And you know what videos he's been posting?
06:18Workout videos.
06:19Yeah, yeah.
06:20And people that doubt, you know, you can get faster as you get older.
06:24Hell, I did.
06:25You can get a lot smarter in your training routine.
06:26Yes.
06:28Diggs had 1,013.
06:30Hollins and Booty had 1,001.
06:33Yeah.
06:33Yeah.
06:34And they played.
06:35Now, it's marginal.
06:36I don't want to act like one of them was playing 70% of snaps, but both of those dudes
06:39played a little bit more snaps than he did.
06:41Mm-hmm.
06:43The, you know, the success rate, like his reception rate, he caught almost 70% of the balls thrown his
06:49way.
06:50Mm-hmm.
06:5085 out of 102 targets.
06:53So, listen, man, Keenan was, when Keenan was coaching over there at Maryland.
06:57McCardell, you're talking about it.
06:58One thing about Diggs, you're not going to complain about a guy that he's a competitor.
07:03And listen, you have a player against him, he's going to come and get you back.
07:07But, and so you got, you would have somebody that's a dog competitor out there, which I love.
07:12Well, and I would add, from when he was at Maryland, like any young man on the planet, when he
07:18was 21 and by far the best player on his team, to now at age 32, he's matured a lot.
07:27He's a different dude.
07:28Humans, men and women, grow a lot from 21 to 32 as people.
07:33You know what I mean?
07:34But you don't lose the competitive side.
07:36I was more mature than some of my friends that were 21, but I was nowhere close to being mature.
07:41No.
07:41Let's see real.
07:43Compared to today, and let's say when I was 30, when I was 35.
07:47But I love people that like to, well, when he was 21, he did this.
07:52What the hell did you do when you were 21?
07:54You know what I was doing when I was 21?
07:55No one, no.
07:56Goodness gracious.
07:57No one, no.
07:59So, I'd like to have a conversation.
08:01We'll open the phones.
08:01800-636-1067.
08:03800-636-1067.
08:06You more interested in Keenan Allen, who is the outside possession guy?
08:11You more interested in Diggs, who I think would still be far more explosive?
08:16Are you still interested in BA?
08:17Because if you're out there, we'll give you the floor.
08:20Or do you think they ride with what they've got, at least for a couple weeks of camp, and see
08:24what they think?
08:26800-636-1067.
08:28It's B. Mitch and Finley.
