00:00A leftist Canadian woman accused of slapping a teenager at the Jersey Shore over the teen's
00:04pro-Trump clothing has now been detained by ICE. And in a twist that's hard to make up,
00:10she's being held at the very same detention center her husband has spent several months
00:14attacking on social media. 33-year-old Caitlin Tracy is being held at Delaney Hall in Newark,
00:19New Jersey after her arrest this week. Now, she's accused of confronting two teenage girls on the
00:24Point Pleasant boardwalk over the 4th of July weekend because of what police described as their
00:28patriotic colored clothing, allegedly slapping one of them. Tracy, a Canadian citizen, has been living
00:35in New Jersey since entering the U.S. in 2024. She now faces multiple charges, including endangering
00:40the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction. Her husband, Matthew Gironi,
00:45has posted videos online asking for help to get her released, even if that means back to Canada.
00:50The situation has also drawn attention to some of Gironi's previous social media posts. Recently,
00:56videos criticizing Delaney Hall, portraying anti-ICE protesters as peaceful while mocking law
01:01enforcement. Older posts have also resurfaced. In one video, he wished cancer on the entire Trump
01:07family, including the president's children and grandchildren, and another referencing an
01:11assassination attempt. Gironi has also been soliciting donations online to help pay for his
01:15wife's legal defense and immigration attorney as her case moves forward.
