Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) governance reforms are aimed at reducing the concentration of power in the mayor's office and improving accountability, says Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh.

Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (July 16), Yeoh said the reforms include a clearer separation of powers, stronger checks and balances, a strengthened DBKL Advisory Board, conflict-of-interest safeguards and greater digitalisation to improve service delivery.
