The Jeffrey Epstein investigation took center stage during a tense Senate hearing as Senator Dick Durbin pressed Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche over whether the Department of Justice would personally meet with Epstein survivors.

Durbin revealed that 10 individuals who say they were abused by Jeffrey Epstein had repeatedly sought opportunities to speak with the DOJ and the FBI. He asked Blanche under oath if he would personally meet with the survivors within the next 30 days. Blanche responded that someone from his office overseeing the DOJ's human trafficking task force was available to speak with them, but said he was prohibited from meeting with the survivors directly
