00:00Good morning Magalha Kapov. Welcome to the commemoration ceremony on the

00:09occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Please stand by for a

00:16moment of silence followed by the national anthem of the Republic of

00:22the Philippines on stage. Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, thank you for joining

00:40the bus on this day of commemoration. Today we gather to respectfully remember and honor

00:48our heroes who fell as martyrs for the sake of our homeland on the 9th of July 15, 2016

00:58and to share the pride of the glorious victory achieved as a result of this struggle.

01:05Ten years ago on that night, 30 years faced a new generation of terrorism and experienced

01:12one of the darkest nights in the history of our Republic due to the coup d'etat attempt

01:18organized by a religious cult led by Fethullah Gülen and his followers.

01:26As a result of this heinous attempt, 251 of our citizens became martyrs and Fethullah's infiltration

01:35into critical sectors of our society, including the military and the judiciary, demonstrated

01:42their willingness to betray the trust of our people and support the rule of law for their

01:49own gain. However, in the face of this betrayal, our nation stood united. Ordinary citizens, motivated

01:59by a deep commitment to democracy and national unity, courageously took to the streets to defend

02:06our freedoms against any existential threat. Their bravery and sacrifice are a testament to

02:13the resilience of our democratic institutions and the indomitable spirit of our people.

02:19of the terrorist organization and the song, the hotel and monuments of the Turkish president,

02:24which is how everyone was saying. Just for a short time after he left the area, for

02:29Istanbul.
