00:19qui font chaque destination unforgettable.
01:55Le city park,
01:57c'est la ville de la ville de 1896,
02:01celebriant 1 000 ans de l'année.
02:03Il y a un whole exhibition ici,
02:06avec plus de 250 pavillons,
02:08buildings,
02:09temporary,
02:10buildings made of temporary materials.
02:12Donc, le public's favourite
02:13de la ville de la ville
02:14c'était le Vajdahunjad Castle.
02:18C'est là où nous sommes.
02:19C'est un nom inconnu.
02:21C'est l'un des такого建ces de 1916.
02:22Le castle est une mixe d'architecturés
02:24des styles,
02:24conflant différents periods
02:26dans le passé de Paris.
02:28C'est un style de Harry-Potter.
02:31Everyone dit,
02:32« Quelque d'un des maisons ? »
02:33« quoi ? »
02:34« Les déficits de 1816. »
02:36Il y a des des idées.
02:36Les derniers et gros méritiers
02:38c'était « Heroes' Square »
02:39— un grand entrance
02:40à l'hiver où il se n'a pas à l'agrément.
02:42C'est plus du péché,
02:44à l'on ne pas pas de plaisir.
02:45Il n'a pas de perdre du marre,
02:46du fattier.
03:04soutenant par l'Empereur François Joseph I.
03:08François Joseph, however, limité le size.
03:42From stunning parks to incredible architecture, Budapest is breathtaking.
03:49Thank you so much for today, Susie.
03:51It's incredible to end our tour of Pesht.
03:54Pesht, right?
03:56Yay!
03:57With this incredible view.
04:00After my time in Pesht,
04:02I'm heading to Buda to explore the castle district with Gergo.
04:06We are standing actually by the so-called Fisherman's Bastion,
04:10which is the embodiment of the turn-of-the-century historicism.
04:17The Fisherman's Bastion was constructed between 1895 and 1902,
04:22and offers incredible views of the city.
04:25Obviously, the one that stands out is over there,
04:28the Parliament building,
04:29one of the largest parliaments of the world.
04:32The Fisherman's Bastion stands directly beside Matthias Church,
04:35one of Hungary's most important churches.
04:38So what we see in the colouring
04:40is hundreds of years of history,
04:42from the medieval days,
04:44all the way to the Hungarian folk art,
04:48through the Hungarian folk art,
04:49and all the way to the turn again of the 1800s and 1900s.
04:53We continue to walk around the Buda Castle district,
04:56reaching Buda Castle itself.
05:00Unfortunately, from those medieval days,
05:03we don't really have lots of leftovers,
05:06if you can say that,
05:07but this is in his memory.
05:09Today, the castle houses museums and galleries,
05:12rather than royalty.
05:14But one special room has been restored to its former glory.
05:18Here, this fireplace is the one that stands out,
05:22with 150,000 pieces of ceramics.
05:28To end this part of my journey,
05:30I head out onto the Danube with Susie and Gergo.
05:34This was the highway of not just transportation,
05:38but as well trading.
05:40So if you look around from here,
05:42we can perfectly see the riverbanks,
05:44which are a very important part of the city.
05:47This truly is a fantastic way to enjoy the city,
05:50and say goodbye to two newfound friends.
05:55Sat on the banks of the Danube,
05:57overlooking the Chesney Chain Bridge,
05:59you will find a very grand building,
06:02which embodies the spirit of Budapest's golden glam era.
06:06The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest
06:09is a beautifully restored Archniveau Palace,
06:12set on the banks of the river,
06:14welcoming guests such as myself.
06:17The Royal Suite takes luxury to another level,
06:20with a private balcony offering breathtaking panoramic views
06:24across Budapest.
06:26Some hotels aren't just a place to rest your head.
06:29They're truly part of a city's history.
06:32And this hotel is exactly that.
06:35One experience I never skip is a visit to the spa.
06:39It's one of my favorite ways to slow down in a city,
06:42and the perfect place to unwind.
06:46Beyond Budapest,
06:47Hungary's countryside is rich with authentic experiences.
06:51Today, the Humter Rural Adventures team
06:54has curated a special adventure for me.
06:57We start by hopping on a horse-drawn cart
07:00to head into the forest with a local forager.
07:03Petra explains some of the different types of morals
07:06found in this woodland.
07:07These ones are giving more Lord of the Rings style.
07:11Yes.
07:12They're like little houses.
07:13Yes.
07:14If I were a little creature in the forest,
07:17I would live in one of these, probably.
07:19Next, we taste something that most people
07:21wouldn't automatically think
07:23would be a forest plant to forage.
07:26I'm going to show you how to eat
07:27a stinging nettle raw.
07:32Oh, OK.
07:34Maybe I need to start having some more nettles.
07:36Mmm, I really like it.
07:37It tastes good.
07:38It tastes very good.
07:39To test my taste buds even further,
07:42Petra finds a plant with a distinct flavor.
07:44What vegetable does it remind you of?
07:48A radish?
07:49Yes.
07:50No way.
07:51Yeah.
07:52It's part of the brassica family.
07:55So cabbage and radish as well.
08:00OK.
08:02After using the forest as nature's farm,
08:05it's time to discover
08:06a unique organic garden concept nearby.
08:09There are a whole range of crops growing here.
08:12And of course, I need to try some,
08:14starting with arugula.
08:16It's really peppery.
08:18Yeah, it's a bit strong.
08:21But amazing.
08:22What's this one?
08:24It's called Indian mustard.
08:27Then finally, some radish
08:28to complete my experience in the garden.
08:31When you are in the garden, you know.
08:39It's a bit strong, but yeah.
08:42Yeah, that is incredible.
08:44See ya.
08:45And with one stop before lunch,
08:47I've come to learn how to weave
08:49using wood from the local garden.
08:52So this is the willow.
08:54Yes.
08:55And you should put
08:59in the hole.
09:03This piece or this end?
09:06We weave willow through the frame,
09:08gently shaping the reef
09:09before adding more intricate designs.
09:13This one goes over
09:14and then it goes under?
09:15Yes.
09:16And the other.
09:17Over.
09:20Kosmelag is truly a special place,
09:22made even more memorable
09:24by the incredible people
09:25I've met along the way.
09:28Budapest might only be
09:3045 minutes away,
09:31but you really do feel like
09:33you're in a completely
09:33different world here.
09:35And I mean,
09:36look at these incredible views.
09:41To finish the trip,
09:42I return to Budapest
09:44and dine at the remarkable
09:45two Michelin-starred
09:47stand restaurant.
09:48The restaurant
09:49and the food philosophy
09:50is about sort of
09:51childhood memories
09:52and absolute
09:53the roots of Hungarian
09:55gastronomy.
09:56The head chef Ben
09:57allows me to join him
09:58in the kitchen
09:59to prepare a pasta dish
10:01with a Hungarian twist.
10:04We start by rolling out
10:06pasta sheets,
10:07infusing one of the sheets
10:08with parsley
10:09to give it a green colour.
10:11This is where the artwork
10:12comes in, for sure.
10:15This is when it's no longer food
10:17and it's a creation.
10:18We form a very intricate design
10:21which is layered
10:22to form a ravioli shape.
10:24So it's an assortment
10:25of wild mushrooms,
10:26black garlic,
10:27roasted garlic,
10:28wild garlic capers,
10:29so rums and capers,
10:31salt and pepper.
10:32The ravioli
10:33is cooked and plated
10:35and the remaining sauce
10:36is served to me
10:37at the table
10:38by the co-owner
10:39of the restaurant,
10:40Tamas.
10:40So this is a mushroom juice,
10:44just a tiny portion
10:46in the middle.
10:47This is the hole.
10:49That's why the hole's there.
10:51The taste is spectacular.
10:55Sometimes food
10:56is truly a work of art
10:58and I have to say
10:59this definitely is.
11:00I'm pretty proud
11:01of what I've created
11:02but also the flavours
11:04are spectacular.
11:06The restaurant's
11:08exceptional tasting menu
11:09takes guests
11:10on an unforgettable
11:11culinary journey.
11:14And if you were
11:15to describe
11:16Hungarian cuisine
11:18in a few words,
11:19how would you describe it?
11:21I think it's historical.
11:24It's many, many
11:27hundred years old,
11:28the roots.
11:29I couldn't say it
11:30better myself.
11:32Historical yet full of flavour.
11:37Budapest is truly
11:39an enchanting city
11:40with incredible views
11:42from every angle.
11:44From Grand Boulevards
11:46to riverside views
11:47and the Danube
11:48linking Buda
11:50and Pesce,
11:51there really is
11:52lots to explore
11:53but now it's time
11:54for my next adventure.
