Some falls happen so quickly they look almost inevitable in hindsight.
A rider approaches a hurdle on horseback, and the horse jumps cleanly over it.
On the landing, the rider shifts forward and loses her grip, sliding out of position as the horse continues moving.
She tries to pull herself back into the saddle, but her legs slip and she drops to the ground beside the horse.
It’s a brief reminder of how narrow the margin can be between a smooth run and a sudden misstep.
