00:00Where is the line between legitimate criticism of the Knicks and then someone or people using
00:06the Knicks fan base to manufacture controversy and engagement? I do think there is a place for
00:12legit criticism and the one thing that I've consistently said is some of that stuff the
00:19Knicks and their organization brought upon themselves. Where we fall off the precipice
00:23without a parachute is when it starts to turn into mean-spirited or outrageous commentary.
00:32You had a bunch of people that would pile on and say oh this is fool's gold this is smoke
00:36and
00:36mirrors it's not gonna last instead of leaning into what was a feel-good story about the potential
00:44renaissance of a legacy franchise. If this happened in any other part of the country I don't think
00:49they get the same amount of smoke. I mean we had the Sacramento Kings in a smoldering crater
00:58of irrelevancy and incompetence for decades and the same people will tell me I Sacramento nobody
01:05cares about that come on Jeff what are we talking about Sacramento for it speaks for itself which
01:11validates my point that when you are a magnetic topic of conversation you are relevant.
