00:00Well, this really is a cup of joy because we can announce that Andy Summers is home from the hospital.
00:09Yes.
00:10What a great, great thing to report.
00:14Yeah, that was fast, man.
00:15I know.
00:16So a little perspective.
00:18Obviously, if maybe you're new to the Andy Summers show, Andy was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months
00:26ago.
00:27She shared her journey on the air.
00:30Yeah.
00:31Ultimately found out it was stage one, but that she was going to need to get a double mastectomy.
00:36Yes.
00:37So she said, all right, let's just do it.
00:39And so she had surgery now two days ago.
00:4410 a.m. is when she reported to the hospital.
00:47And as of, I think it was about noon yesterday, Donnie, check me here.
00:53It was a little bit before noon.
00:54So she only really was in the hospital for like a little over 24 hours.
01:00Now she's back at home recovering.
01:01And from all we're hearing, I'm not sure how the first night at home went.
01:06No.
01:07Can't imagine it was terribly comfortable.
01:09But nonetheless, she's at home, which is so important to recovery.
01:14She's with her kids and her husband.
01:15And so we're just so glad to report that she is high spirits.
01:19She sent us a really sweet text message on her way back, some photos.
01:23It's been really, really cool to see, you know, how she's continued to remain so positive.
01:29And just an inspiration.
01:32And in typical Andy Summers fashion, because she always likes to try to find humor in low moments.
01:38She's like, I really don't have an appetite, but I have these.
01:41And then pointed to a picture of Oreos that she's been snacking on that, Jeff, you gave her.
01:46Yeah.
01:47Yeah.
01:47She brought those in her hospital bag.
01:49Which is brilliant.
01:50It's important to bring the essentials.
