00:03British pop singer Lauren Bennett has died at just 36 years old, and now Page Six can confirm
00:09that UK authorities are investigating the singer's sudden passing. That investigation is expected to
00:14proceed for months. Lauren Bennett died on May 29th in England, just one month before her 37th
00:20birthday. A cause of death has yet to be released. Her father Richard Bennett posted this photo as
00:27a tribute to his late daughter on Instagram, and gave some insight into what happened. He wrote,
00:32months before her death, Lauren experienced a severe reaction to a prescribed medication.
00:37As a family, we all rallied around her, and did everything we could to support her.
00:42We have no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death, only deep disappointment that,
00:47for five months, medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately
00:53during her time of greatest need. The British singer gained fame after her vocals were featured on the
00:582011 hit, Party Rock Anthem, by LMFAO. The song went multi-platinum globally, and remains one of the
01:05best-selling digital singles of all time. Bennett went on to join the female pop group, Girl, after
01:11the success of Party Rock Anthem. Girl announced Bennett's passing on their Instagram, writing,
01:16Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever
01:22cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. They closed by saying,
01:27Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts. Bennett leaves behind a six-year-old
01:33daughter, Harlow, whom she shares with dancer and Footloose actor, Kenny Wormald.
