00:00I was panicking yeah very much so they're like just take like 30 deep breaths and I was like
00:04well I'm underwater so I can't breathe um but yeah it's freaky experience. I was such a huge
00:09fan oh I am still such a huge fan of the animation and I can only imagine the pressure that
00:14was on
00:14your shoulders coming into this. Who made you feel at ease about taking this on? I think the
00:19person who oddly made me feel the most at ease was someone who actually was rarely on set with
00:23us I think it was Auli because kind of getting to have her tick of approval and her be able
00:28to send
00:29me on my way with kind of her full blessing to take on what is and was her role I
00:34feel like that
00:34kind of relaxed me a lot on set thinking that you know I did have autonomy over what I was
00:39going to
00:40do with Moana. Talk to me about filming those underwater scenes because I could not do that
00:44I was like this poor girl she is just soaked constantly how did you feel about that? That was
00:50definitely one of the hardest bits getting constantly wet down because once you're they also need it to
00:54look like it's you're wet it's windy and it's traveling um it's quite cold but everything
00:59that was fully submerged was was insane because I think the biggest part of it is you just can't
01:03see anything you actually cannot see a thing so they're they have this um like telephone
01:09underwater that speaks to you and so you'll hear action and cut through the telephone um and you have
01:14to like take the like I'm like air mask off you take the goggles off and then you're just kind
01:19of
01:19like freeloading in the water it's it's nuts oh my god I would panic I was panicking did you panic
01:24as well they're like just take like 30 deep breaths and I was like well I'm underwater so I can't
01:28breathe um but yeah it's freaky experience well you made it look like it was nothing for you so
01:34great good job um are you as adventurous as Moana or is like could you just go off and do
01:40like solo
01:41stuff by yourself I'm doing that a bit now which I feel I feel like this is my my kind
01:46of Moana arc where
01:47I'm I'm doing things on my own but I'm I'm such a homebody I my dream vacation is to just
01:54be at my
01:54house where nobody else is but no I don't know if I could do to to kind of go beyond
02:00the reef and to
02:00journey off by yourself is very quite brave so you're still super young like I didn't do my first
02:07solo travel time like in my 30s so like yeah you got plenty of time perfect and now I've got
02:12to the
02:12point where I'm like I just want to be at home yeah I'm done I'm where you are you can't
02:16fall
02:16circle again you come full circle did anything particularly funny happy on set happen on set
02:22because I imagine working with Dwayne he's a big joker like was he super serious or like was there
02:29like particularly funny moments with it I think there was a bit of play but I it was just I
02:34wouldn't
02:34say it was like a tense environment but there was just so much we had to get done that I
02:37remember
02:38everything that accidentally happened or like things that happened by mistake those were like the
02:43funny moments of um whenever like Dwayne has to swing the oar there's a little bit at the bottom
02:50that would often chip off and so you just have to spend the rest of the scene ignoring it or
02:55props would snap the boat would break I snapped multiple oars um and I think those moments for me
03:01were like they were quite stressful because you have broken something but kind of on the other side of
03:06it you're like oh it's all like at the end of the day it's just a fake oar like it's
03:10a fake hook
03:11what is the most surreal thing that has happened to you as a result of like this whole experience
03:16because you're going all over the world meeting all kinds of people like you're doing all kinds
03:20of things what's the most surreal thing so far I haven't and I don't really respond to people
03:24calling out the name Moana because I don't associate that with being me to me if someone's
03:29calling out Moana that's when I'm looking for Auli like I'm like oh she must be here somewhere
03:33so I think having people call out that name and that almost like title and expecting it to be me
03:40I
03:40think that's kind of a really a cool thing that I've kind of started interacting with yeah it is
03:45you now yeah right okay very quickly quick fire uh favorite Disney movie if not Moana then
03:52Mulan favorite Disney song I'd say like be prepared or circle of life okay and last one uh sunrise or
03:58sunset uh sunrise wow but you're never catching me at a sunrise and sunset girl all the way through
04:03I look forward to speaking to you whenever the next one comes around and whatever else you do
04:07because you're only at the start I appreciate it lovely to meet you lovely to meet you too
