00:01And I thought over the weekend, what shall I do?
00:04I could go out and try and make some real big money.
00:07I could go to the USA, where I've got plenty of offers.
00:12And then I thought, why should I be judged?
00:18Today or in history and the future by Sky News and their ilk?
00:22Why should they be the people that decide my fate
00:25when, as I repeat, I've done nothing wrong?
00:30I've thought about it hard and I've decided today,
00:33today I will resign as a Member of Parliament for Clacton-on-Sea,
00:39thereby forcing a by-election,
00:42which should happen, I hope, in short order.
00:45Now, I've decided that the people of Clacton
00:48should be the judges of my actions.
00:51This will be a people versus the establishment by-election.
00:56It's a chance to stick two fingers up,
00:59to the entire establishment to frankly tell them where to go.
01:04And that is why I will be putting my name forward
01:08to stand in this by-election.
01:10I will fight to win.
01:12I will fight to continue the political revolution
01:15that reform has started.
01:17And I would say this to you, the voters of Clacton.
01:20If I win, you win.
01:23Because if I lose, they win.
01:25And we will never, with the two old parties,
01:29get the type of fundamental change that we need
01:31to fix broken Britain.
