00:06well hello there folks and a very warm welcome back to what's for tea it's lovely to see you
00:11all again and i hope that i find you very well indeed and welcome back to our favorite time of
00:17the week on the channel it's our family meals of the week and i always get really excited for
00:22these videos they are my absolute favorite to make and i know they're a big favorite with you
00:27as well so as usual starting off on monday through till today which is sunday and if you do like
00:32these
00:32kinds of videos and you're not subscribed yet do consider subscribing before you go so on monday
00:39as you can see we had ravioli so i made a big batch of pesto which i had to use
00:45up so i just added it
00:47to this ravioli so we've got a couple of garlic breadsticks at the back this is a spinach and
00:53basil and pine nut ravioli which is lovely and then like i said i've just added some homemade pesto
01:00to this and i do have a video recipe for the pesto you would have seen last week but i
01:06will leave it
01:07down below just in case you haven't watched that or you want to see how to make your own pesto
01:12and it
01:12was lovely and i've just put a wee bit of parmesan and black pepper on the top then moving on
01:18to
01:18tuesday we had a beef curry now we usually do have some kind of curry throughout the week we just
01:24really like a curry sometimes it's a chinese you know type curry this one is more of an indian
01:30style curry using more indian spices and i have filmed this so this will be up in a couple of
01:36weeks if you want to give this a go for your shelves so i've just got some basmati rice on
01:41the
01:41bottom that's a lovely chunky slow cooked beef curry but it wasn't done in the slow cooker this one was
01:47made on the stovetop so if you're one of the folk that doesn't have a slow cooker you will be
01:52able
01:52to do this one quite easily but it does get cooked really low and slow for over an hour probably
01:58an
01:58hour and 15 minutes but it's well worth doing it's just so tasty not my recipe this is actually a
02:05friend's recipe but yeah highly recommend you watch that one and give it a go when it goes up and
02:12then
02:12moving on to wednesday more beef so i had some beef that i had to use up from that curry
02:17i bought
02:17a big joint of beef so half went in the curry and the other half went in this so it's
02:23a beef and
02:23potato bake so it's basically a beef stew on the bottom with wee mini roast potatoes on the top and
02:30this was lovely as well and we've got some tender stem broccoli just on the side and just some salt
02:37and pepper on the top and again this one was just so tasty really easy to make as well because
02:42like i
02:43said it's just a beef stew beef and vegetable stew on the bottom with the wee potatoes on the top
02:49and
02:49we do have stew again later on in the week and then moving on to thursday we had chicken supreme
02:55so i
02:56nipped to the butcher and i managed to get some chicken breasts from there i don't always manage
03:00to get to the butcher but i do prefer to get my chicken from the butcher it's just you know
03:05it just
03:06i feel as though it just tastes so much better and the texture is wonderful so we've got some
03:11parpadell on the bottom or some fresh parpadell or parpadelli on the bottom and that's just a smoky
03:18cheese and ham sauce just for in the middle so that it's not completely dry and that's an air fried
03:24chicken breast with a herb crust on the outside and then just some more of that cheese and ham sauce
03:30for the top and i'm just going to pop on some black pepper and some parmesan cheese as well i'm
03:36trying
03:37to use up my parmesan cheese so it's going on whatever it can go on because we're obviously
03:43going away soon so i'm trying to use up things that we've already got there and then moving on to
03:48friday we had curry again so like i said just trying to use up what i've got so i had
03:54some microwave
03:54rice there i've obviously got the chicken breasts and a lot of the spices i've already got so this
03:59again is more of an indian style curry but more of a tomato based curry so i've got some pilau
04:05rice
04:06on the bottom like i said this is just the microwave rice you just pop in the microwave for a
04:11couple of
04:11minutes and it's done and that's our curry on the top using up some onions some peas tomatoes the chicken
04:18that i've got and a whole host of spices in there topped with a wee bit of black pepper and
04:24coriander
04:24as well you can't go wrong with a curry you can make curries totally different depending on what
04:30you actually put in them i mean the flavor can be different every time then moving on to yesterday i
04:36made a lasagna so i had some leftover lasagna sheets and bolognese in the freezer so i've just
04:41turned this into lasagna and i made this one in my loaf tin so it's a wee bit burnt round
04:46about the
04:47edges i didn't have enough for a great big you know a big pan of lasagna so i did have
04:51enough
04:52to make in the loaf tin that just you know it serves two so it was absolutely fine so i
04:57got
04:57some salad and cheese and tomatoes black pepper and salt in the corner that's that lovely lasagna
05:03there and just a few of the mccain gastro chips we love the mccain gastro chips but they are full
05:10of
05:10calories obviously because they're coated in oil but that's what makes them so delicious unfortunately
05:16but yeah lovely plate full of food and then moving on to today we had chicken pie or i'm going
05:21to call
05:21this a kind of cheaty chicken pie because for my pie filling i actually used you know the chicken
05:27and white sauce that you get in the tin and it's perfect for a pie filling it's delicious and all
05:33you need to do then is add your pastry so it really couldn't be any quicker and it tastes just
05:38like a
05:38homemade pie it's just wonderful highly recommend you give that a go if you haven't already i'm sure
05:44there are versions of this in every country but yeah the princess one is the most common here although
05:49the supermarkets do do their own and we've got some roast potatoes and green beans with that as
05:55well thoroughly enjoyed that so that's everything that we had this week so thank you so much for
