10th child dies so far this year from a hot car

Tragically, as of early July, 10 children have died due to hot cars across the U.S., with four of those deaths reported in Florida.

00:00Tragically, we are learning of another hot car death in the U.S.

00:03A two-year-old child died Sunday after being left inside a vehicle in Hollandale Beach, Florida.

00:09Hollandale police say the toddler, who was in the care of a babysitter at the time,

00:14was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

00:17According to Kids and Car Safety, this is the 10th child to die in a hot car nationwide.

00:20It does happen to be the 4th in Florida so far this year.

00:25While the heat is still with us in the southeast, heat wave is over.

00:28This is more typical heat and humidity there, but it has certainly ended in the northeastern U.S.

00:33In fact, we're only at 66 in New York City, still holding to 98 in Dallas.

00:39It is hot there, and we're going to have more scattered thunderstorms in the southeast on Tuesday.
