00:00My name is Hallie and I'm six years old.
00:04Eczema sometimes stops me from playing with my friends.
00:11The emotional toll is relentless.
00:15It's a daily struggle.
00:16It's an hourly struggle.
00:19She's six.
00:21She can't stop it.
00:25It's horrible.
00:26When I had to close the door and walk out and she's screaming.
00:32I'm just scratching herself at three o'clock in the morning and I can't do anything to help her.
00:43Accessing treatment has been a nightmare.
00:47When we got to our point of we needed something to help, we saw a fantastic dermatologist.
00:54Took one look at her and said she needs to be on Depixent.
00:58This is what she needs to be.
00:59She didn't even look at half of her body.
01:04That little glimmer of hope was then very quickly dashed when we found out that because she's six years old,
01:12it wasn't available.
01:14Even though it was medically approved, it wasn't available for her age under, unless we had to fork out tens
01:23of thousands of dollars.
01:24We looked at so many things because how can you have something in Australia that's there and that could work
01:31and that they're holding it to ransom.
01:35Some thought came up about a GoFundMe page to get people to help pay for it because there was no
01:41way we could afford it.
01:44Eventually, we got approval for it through the drug company.
01:51And then since then, once we started to, it looked like we were going to get approval, they needed to
02:01get some blood tests done.
02:03It's so frustrating because it's there and it's there ready to go and that there's still so much red tape
02:12to even just get it in her body and get it started.
02:18My SOS message to the Prime Minister is for my new medicine to come.
