00:15Restaurer the 31 km of Loos-des-Bois, from its source to Sumoulou to the Gave-de-Pau
00:20in which they get, allows to revivify the ecosystem and to bring nature to the city.
00:27We are in the area of the Pyrénées-Atlantique, on the Bassin-Versant of Loos-des-Bois,
00:31an affluent of the Gave-de-Pau and which traverse the Gave-de-Pau de part-en-part.
00:36At the beginning of a statement that was made on this Bassin-Versant
00:39and with the arrival of the GEMAPI, Gestion Milieu Aquatic and Prévention of the Inondations,
00:44the Comité d'Agglomération chose to restore different sites
00:47to valorise and restore the functions of the waters, of the aquatic fields
00:51because we consider that the functions that exert these fields are important.
00:56Whether in a climate change or other,
00:58a corridor, if it's even been chiffred by some studies,
01:01it can attenuate the effect of a crue,
01:03it can attenuate the effect of a sächeress,
01:05while maintaining a biodiversité, a quality of life, a landscape.
01:08So in fact, with these efforts,
01:09we corrige a little bit the errors of the past that have been made.
01:11We had, in an urban context,
01:13a tendency to manage the corridor a little too much,
01:16because at the time it was like that.
01:17So in fact, we come back to these actions
01:18to try to recreate the nature in the city
01:20and create a more living environment.
01:23Today, the results are encouraging.
01:25It shows the positive effects of the restoration of this type of environment.
01:29It's encouraging because it goes into a global trend, national,
01:33even international,
01:34where we realize that restaurer the quality of the nature
01:36and the environments,
01:36it can adapt to the effects of climate change.
