00:04Joniah Walker, who vanished from her Milwaukee home at just 15 years old in 2022, has been found
00:09safe. Police released few details about the miraculous end to this missing persons case,
00:15saying only that the now 19-year-old was located on May 25th. Walker's disappearance had baffled
00:20investigators. Her mother said that she spoke with her daughter several times the day she disappeared,
00:25but then the calls suddenly stopped. Surveillance video later captured the teen leaving her apartment
00:30complex with a large green backpack. It would be the last time anyone saw her for nearly four years.
00:35Her mother believed someone had lured her away after discovering that her daughter had wiped her
00:39digital footprint before disappearing. The case became so high profile that Joniah's story helped
00:44inspire a legislative push in Wisconsin to create a task force focused on missing and murdered
00:48African-American women and girls. For now, authorities aren't saying where Joniah was,
00:53where she was found, or what happened during those mysterious missing years.
