00:00Well, obviously, what we did in step one was make sure that the Europeans and not American taxpayers bore the
00:07burden of supporting Ukraine.
00:09We sell American weapons through the Pearl Program, and the Europeans buy it and provide those to Ukraine.
00:15They're the best weapons available.
00:17We've done over $6 billion in that program, and we're going to continue to move out on that.
00:24But at the same time, we have to get the defense industrial base moving faster.
00:28In Europe and in the United States, obviously, with all the conflict that we're talking about, there is a demand
00:36signal,
00:36and we need industry to move out on building factories and building more armaments.
00:41And so that's the project.
00:42As we head into the Ankara Summit next week for NATO, that's where we're pushing and making sure that our
00:48allies are equally strong with the United States
00:51and equally capable because for too long, the United States was bearing the burden of European security.
