00:00First person for me that came to mind that I wanted to see as managing New York Mets is
00:03a guy who really should have had his chance before. That's Carlos Beltran.
00:08It's the first person that came to mind. Listen, I think if you ask me who I think is the
00:13best
00:14managerial candidate out there, it would be Alex Cora. Carlos Beltran, who I think was a damn good
00:20New York Met that sometimes some fans did not appreciate because all they can think about is
00:25him looking at strike three to end the 2006 season to Adam Wainwright. I think Carlos Beltran
00:31will be a good manager from all you heard about when he interviewed before for the Mets and had
00:37the job before everything that came out with the Astros cheating scandal. I think enough time has
00:42passed. I think he'll be fine. I think you could bring him back. I spoke with Albert Pujols last
00:48fall. I think it was in October and I asked him about managers right before the start of the
00:53playoffs and I asked him about his aspirations for managing and he said, you know, he told me
00:57something he'd want to do. I think Albert Pujols also strikes me as a guy that would bring that
01:02level of accountability and change the culture. We've seen former players be successful, so I
01:08think this could happen. And then you have David Ross as well too, who's thrown his name in there
01:13too, who I think is a very interesting candidate. I think for the Mets fans are looking for a little
01:18bit more fire, a little bit more that the guy that's going to probably say a little bit more
01:23and hold guys accountable in the media sometimes. I think some Mets fans want to see that. I think
01:30he could be your guy. I don't think any of those candidates are bad.
