00:00That is a wrap on day one here in Lucerne. The temperatures have been very hot but the conditions have
00:07been perfect with the light tail wind building throughout the day.
00:11We have been treated to some exciting racing with plenty more to come over the weekend.
00:16In the women's single we saw three familiar names take out heat winds.
00:21Firstly the ever dominant Lauren Henry from Great Britain.
00:24Tara Rigney who has returned after some time off seems to be finding her form.
00:30And lastly current world champion Fiona Murta from Ireland.
00:34Ollie Zeidler has continued his trend in the men's single and cruised through his heat in quarterfinal.
00:40Simone van Dorp has returned to the single after racing in the double earlier in the season.
00:45He has also come through.
00:47Both Scullers are going to line up in separate semi-finals tomorrow but we might be in to see a
00:53battle between them in the final.
00:54Where we may see Ollie Zeidler be pushed for the first time this season.
00:59The men's squad was one of the tightest field of the day.
01:02Only three seconds separate the top six and five separate the top twelve.
01:07So the semi-final tomorrow is going to be tough.
01:10Today we saw the PR1 men's singles race for the first time this World Cup season.
01:16Ben Pritchard from Great Britain dominated the first heat and Eric Curry from Australia dominated the second.
01:22We're going to see their familiar rivalry play out in the final come Sunday.
01:27The US women's sweep team has dominated here today.
01:31They've taken two heat wins in the women's pair and also came away with a win in the women's four.
01:36That crew included three members of the World Championship crew we saw in China.
01:41They'll be up against a strong looking Australian four in the final on Sunday.
01:50In the men's eight the Australian eight shot out and lead from the start.
01:54The British eight did well and they clawed them back to take away the heat win.
01:58We also saw the Australian feature heavily on the women's side.
02:02They've taken away a heat win as well as qualifying two crews for the women's eight final.
02:07They'll be up against a dominant looking British crew who won the other heat.
02:13The Mexican lightweight single scholar Kenya Lechuga who is celebrating her 32nd birthday here in Lucerne today came away with
02:21a heat win.
02:22She has dominated the field for the past few years and we are excited to see what she's going to
02:27bring come the final.
02:28We'll see you next time.
02:29We'll see you next time.
02:29Bye.
02:31Bye.
02:32Bye.
