00:00Mike Fisher, who's been all over this story for the last few weeks as well, writing today,
00:06there's also a potential backstop emerging for Boston's Jalen Brown's trade discussions.
00:10Detroit is very much weighing the prospect of signing and trading restricted free agent Jalen Dern for Brown,
00:16sources say, among other conceptual outcomes, if that option remains available for the Pistons
00:21once free agency opens on Tuesday evening.
00:25So a couple things there.
00:26You're talking about a young big, he's 22 years old, had a great season, pretty much 20-10 last year,
00:32and then in the postseason against the Cavs, looked like me.
00:36I mean, it was not the most impressive performance by Durham.
00:40I know you can hoop McCone. Don't sell yourself short.
00:43I saw a video of you absolutely dominating a four-year-old.
00:47This is my athletic accomplishment of my life right there, no question about it.
00:52So that package right there, does that excite you, a young 22-year-old big man,
00:58and maybe a couple picks thrown in by Detroit for Jalen Brown?
01:03A player's package excites me more than a package of four first-round picks in the future, and here's why.
01:08I mean, in the NBA, Tim, I guess there's apparently nothing more valuable in trades
01:14than your 2030s draft picks because teams are banking on you, you know,
01:20going all in for three, four, five years, and then going in the absolute tank after that,
01:24and then you get their picks.
01:25Well, I mean, again, it's the Nets-Celtics trade, which, again, I mean, it worked out in a way that
01:31even in your wildest expectations, Danny Ainge, I don't think, expected to wind up with the third pick,
01:37the first pick, and then a top-ten pick that you can then flip for Kyrie Irving.
01:41Whoops on that one, but still...
