01:46Well today in BALLAMORI
01:49It's a wet day
01:53And everyone here is busy going to work and school
02:01So I wonder what adventures we'll get up to today?
02:06Oh look!
02:13Does it suit me?
02:15I had to wear this once on the stage
02:18We were doing a play with music
02:20And I had to sing
02:21Now how did it go?
02:23Oh yes
02:25All I want is a room somewhere
02:29Far away from the cold night air
02:34It was brilliant fun
02:36Ah
02:37There's the school bus
02:39I wonder who will be coming to the BALLAMORI nursery today?
02:45Here's Khadija

03:23You follow Miss Hoolina line?
03:25Just round like this, showing off your hat
03:30Look at this!
03:32Oh!
03:33Did you hear that?
03:35Sounds like we have a visitor
03:37I wonder who it could be?
03:38I'll just go and see
03:39Hi Josie!
03:45Hiya!
03:46I just wanted to tell you about a treat
03:48I'm planning for the children later
03:49Oh!
03:49Hi everybody!
03:51Hi!
03:52We've just been having a hat parade
03:54Come on through
03:56So, what's this treat you're planning for today?
03:59I want to play them this absolutely brilliant CD
04:01The music is fantastic, you can do everything to it
04:04How do you mean?
04:05Well, you can do creeping
04:09Or you can do falling
04:11Or you can be happy
04:14Or you can be sad
04:24Everything!
04:25I think the children were like that
04:27But that's not all. I'm going to use this music for the musical about PC Plum.
04:31Wow! Plum the musical.
04:34And guess what? My friend Bryony is an amazing ballet dancer.
04:39And she's going to help us tell the story.
04:42This is really exciting, Josie.
04:44I know, I can't wait.
04:46OK, I'll meet you back here later, but first I need to call in at PC Plum to see if
04:50I can borrow his spare hat.
04:51Bye.
04:52Bye.
04:54So, which coloured house do you think Josie will visit first today?
05:04Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:10Well, this part of the story in Ballamory obsishes the house for me.
05:16Is it red? Is it white?
05:19Which coloured house do you think is right?
05:21Pink, yellow, green, orange or blue?
05:24Which coloured house are we going to?
05:33Which coloured house are we going to?
05:36Tell me, what do you think?
05:39Which coloured house are we going to?
05:41Tell me, what do you think?
05:45It's the white house!
05:48Yes, it's the white house, because that's where PC Plum lives.
05:54Now then, this is a deer footprint, so this goes next to the deer poster.
06:00Hey, what's all this?
06:02Hello there, Josie.
06:03I'm just organising the Lookout for Local Animals week.
06:07I want to make people aware of all the wonderful wild animals we have here in Ballamory.
06:13Otters, badgers, deer.
06:16Do they all live in Ballamory?
06:17Oh yes, and this is the proof.
06:20I've made this plaster cast of the footprints.
06:22And now, this is an otter, and this goes here.
06:26They look brilliant, PC Plum.
06:28I'm glad you like them.
06:29So, have you come about official police matters?
06:31Erm, I suppose I have.
06:33Right then, I'd better go on with official duty.
06:37So, what can I...
06:40So, what can I do...
06:43Oh, stop, stop.
06:45I think we'd better talk over here.
06:47Now, carry on.
06:50Can I borrow your spare policemen's hat?
06:52Can I borrow your...
06:53Eh?
06:54I need to borrow your spare policemen's hat.
06:57Why?
06:58Because I'm putting on a musical show for the children, and it's all about you.
07:02Me?
07:03You're making a musical show all about me?
07:05Yep, I've got all the music sorted, and the ballet dancer to help.
07:09Crumbs.
07:10I'm going to be famous.
07:13Well, you'll certainly want to include all my famous cases.
07:16Well, I...
07:17Like the time when I solved the mystery of the missing scarecrow.
07:21Oh, and when I helped Roddy MacLeod find his missing cow.
07:24Actually, it's about you and a cat burglar.
07:26A cat burglar?
07:29Well, we haven't had one of those in Balamori for years.
07:32They're crafty chats.
07:34Not in my story.
07:35This is a real cat who steals food from people's plates and dustbins.
07:38Oh, the burglar is a cat.
07:41Just like I said, a cat burglar.
07:43Wait a minute.
07:44If the burglar is a...
07:45I'm sorry, PC Plum, I haven't got the time.
07:47Can I just have your spare hat?
07:49Yes.
07:52There we go.
07:54Look, why don't you come along to the show later?
07:56I'm just off home to grab a bite to eat and collect my music CD.
07:59Righty-o.
08:00I'll see you later.
08:06Plum the musical.
08:15And PC Plum pull on his hat and he chase the naughty cat.
08:20Yes!
08:21This musical is going to be so good.
08:24Right.
08:25Sandwich time.
08:28Now, what did the cat burglar do next?
08:33The cat crept in and sneaked around.
08:39And there on the table was a feast.
08:43Meow, meow, said the cat.
08:45And a knock on the door made the cat run away.
08:52This musical is just going to be fantastic.
08:56Hold on a minute.
08:58Where's my CD?
08:59I can't lose that.
09:02I'm sure I place it here right next to the bread.
09:10Oh, no.
09:13Look what I've just done.
09:14I've just bred my CD with butter and jam.
09:17I've completely ruined it.
09:19What am I going to do?
09:21I need good music for this musical about PC Plum.
09:26You're right.
09:27I need to see Spencer.
09:29If you need a little rhythm, call Spencer.
09:32Got a song you want to give him.
09:33Call me Cospencer.
09:34We can start at the beginning.
09:36Cospencer.

09:44Cospencer.
09:45I can play you anything.
09:47So take a set of car keys.
09:49Jingle them around.
09:51Now we're making music.
09:53Just listen to the sound.
09:56Take an empty tin can.
09:58Beat it like a drum.
10:00Spencer's making music.
10:02And now we're having fun.
10:08If you need a little rhythm, call Spencer.
10:10Got a song you want to give him.
10:12Call me Cospencer.

10:30Songs for in the bathtub.
10:32Go swirling down the plughole.
10:34Rhythms for a dancing.
10:36Mashing up potatoes.
10:39Easy flowing love songs.

11:02Cospencer.
11:02I can play you anything.
11:13In it goes.
11:14Spencer, can you?
11:15Oh, you're busy.
11:17Oh, just a second.
11:17I've just borrowed PC Plum's plaster cast gear.
11:21Oh, right.
11:21He used it to make plaster casts off Balamori animal tracks.
11:25That's right.
11:26And now I'm using it to make models of Balamori houses.
11:29Here, check it out.
11:30You pour the liquid plaster in.
11:32You let it dry.
11:33And it comes out like this.
11:35And then you paint it.
11:36And it comes out like this one.
11:38Hey, it's orange like your house.
11:40That's right.
11:42Would you like to have it?
11:44Oh, thank you, Spencer.
11:47So what's the story in Balamori?
11:50Well...
11:54I called into the nursery to tell Miss Hooley about this fantastic CD of music I wanted to play them.
12:00I had the idea of using it to tell a musical story about PC Plum with my friend Bryony, who
12:05does ballet dancing.
12:08Then I went to see PC Plum to borrow his spare hat.
12:11I managed to borrow his hat, and I went home for lunch.
12:16I was so busy thinking about the show that I put butter and jam on my special CD.
12:25So now we don't have any music for the musical about PC Plum, unless...
12:29Unless...
12:29Unless maybe I can help?
12:32Yes!
12:33We need music for all sorts of stuff like running, creeping, jumping, and falling!
12:40Whoa!
12:42No problemo, girl.
12:43What we need are my percussion instruments.
12:48These cymbals will make a great falling down sound.
12:51Perfect!
12:52OK, you get your instruments, and meet me at the nursery with Bryony later.
12:56Bye!
12:57Bye!
13:09Miss Hooley, has it started yet?
13:11No, don't worry.
13:12You've not missed a thing.
13:13Great.
13:14I'll just sit here.
13:15I can't wait.
13:16OK.
13:17Once in Balamore was a cat who was naughty.
13:22She prowled around all day for food to steal away.
13:31Ruby was the town's cat burglar.
13:36One day she saw an open window, so she took a running jump.
13:46And landed with a bump.
13:52And saw on a dish, a lovely hair dog fish.
13:59Ruby grabbed it from the plate, and she ate and ate.
14:06But quickly jumped back out, when the people gave a shout.
14:12And the window shut, with a slam.
14:17As Ruby ran, and ran.
14:25To pull a stop to Ruby's fund, they sent for PC plums.
14:33He came to take a look, and he wrote in his book.
14:38Then marched back home to think, what should he do?
14:47First he decided to have his tea.
14:50Then sat on the table, with his trifle cream.
14:55Just then the phone rang.
14:59And out he went.
15:02While his window was open, and you know what that meant.
15:07Yes!
15:08Ruby the cat burglar had struck again.
15:11She jumped through the window, as fast as she was able.
15:17And smelt the creamy trifle, sitting on the table.
15:22She dipped in her paw, to have a taste.
15:28But soon poor Ruby, was leaving in haste.
15:33Because in came PC Plum, with a bellow!
15:43She ran out and hid in the garden.
15:48Leaving creamy paw prints as she went.
15:53Peasy Plum gave chase, following the trail.
15:57And up in the tree, he saw her tail.
16:01She was trembling like a leaf.
16:05Oh, PC Plum was sorry he scared her like that.
16:08After all, she was just a cat.
16:11So he lifted her down, and gave her a treat.
16:18A bowl of cat biscuits, for Ruby to eat.
16:23Later he went round, to tell the town.
16:28That when there's a cat burglar, like Ruby around.
16:33They should close all their windows.
16:35Otherwise, it's just asking for trouble.
16:39Oh!
16:39Yay!
16:41Uncle!
16:43Oh!
16:55I've gone all dizzy.
16:56So, what was the story in Balamori today?
17:01Well...
17:04Josie called into the nursery to tell me about her fantastic new CD of music that she wanted to play
17:10to the children.
17:11She had the idea of using it to tell a musical story about PC Plum.
17:16And said her friend Bryony, who does ballet dancing, would help.
17:21Then she went to see PC Plum, to borrow his spare hat.
17:25PC Plum was really excited that Josie wanted to do a musical show about him, and he gladly lent his
17:31spare hat.
17:33Josie went home for a sandwich, but she was so busy practising the show, that she spread butter and jam
17:39on her special CD by mistake.
17:41It was ruined.
17:44So Spencer came to the rescue and made some fantastic music.
17:50We all watched Plum the Musical.
17:53It was a brilliant show about a cat burglar and how PC Plum solved the case.
18:01And that was the story in Balamori.
18:04Should I wear this hat home?
18:07Maybe not.
18:08Of course.
18:09Cool.
18:12And I'll see you soon.
18:14Bye!
