00:10We know there are 1,600 schools in London, 60 hospitals,
00:15more than 350 care homes in areas that face extreme heat.
00:19So we need to take action now.
00:21So you'll see over the course of the next few weeks, months and years,
00:25councils, the GLA, the fire service, the police service,
00:27businesses doing things like planting trees that have more shade,
00:32installing more water fountains,
00:33working with great restaurants and shops to provide free water,
00:37making sure when it comes to a council changing the boilers,
00:40replacing with heat pumps that can cool homes as well as heat homes,
00:44making sure the fire service has the kit to do with flash flooding
00:47and wildfires as well,
00:49working with businesses to make sure they do what they can
00:51to make their places of work safe,
00:53but also making sure, of course, when it comes to TFL,
00:55buying new trains or buying new buses,
00:58make sure they're air conditioned.
