00:00The personality changed on this team when they emasculated their leader.
00:06That's a great point.
00:07When they neutered Francisco Lindor.
00:11Because let's think about how we used to talk about Francisco Lindor.
00:14Man, yeah, he starts slow, but he always starts to show up.
00:19He'll play at an MVP level.
00:21He'll be a phenomenal defender.
00:22He's going to hit you 25 to 30 home runs.
00:24And more importantly, he always, always stands up and is accountable after the games.
00:31Right?
00:31All of a sudden, we hear this captain stuff.
00:35Lindor is your captain.
00:37And then they squashed it.
00:38They got rid of it.
00:40Because they wanted Juan Soto to be their guy.
00:43Now, I get how Juan Soto is.
00:45He is not a, let's go hug it out.
00:48Let's go have barbecues.
00:50Let's all, you know, you know what, and giggles all the time.
00:52That is not him.
00:53He is, I'm going to do my business, I'm going to take care of what I have to take care
00:58of,
00:58and I'm going to play ball.
00:59And you know what to expect every day.
01:02That's what this team has become.
01:04The problem is, they're not good.
01:07Right?
01:08And so, when you have this Juan Soto mentality, as opposed to a Francisco Lindor mentality,
01:14when things go bad, there's no glue.
01:17There's nothing to hold you together.
01:19It's just a bunch of little silos, a bunch of little islands of players trying to get their own.
01:26I got to look out for me.
01:27And even Francisco Lindor has become that.
01:31Because he's not rewarded.
01:32He wasn't lifted up because of what he brought other than what he did on the field.
01:37And so, the personality of this team changed to be like Juan Soto, and when you suck, that's not a
01:44good thing.
01:45If everybody was great, he'd be fine.
01:47But they're not good baseball players right now, and a lot of it is because the glue has come undone.
