00:00This is a war which I believe was both a necessary one and a justified one.
00:08Unfortunately, it was miswaged both by the U.S. and Israel, neither of which had clear objectives.
00:16And I believe that Mr. Trump ended the war far too quickly and ended it in a way so that
00:24Iran
00:24feels, and I think with great justification, that they actually won.
00:28They withstood the onslaught by the world's global superpower, Israel too, but we are
00:34a minor actor in comparison.
00:37And feeling that they won and with a sense of confidence, they have actually been dictating
00:44terms ever since.
00:46The Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed, reads almost entirely like an Iranian
00:52document and across-the-board American capitulation.
00:56And even more unfortunately, I think, as we have now begun the negotiations towards a
01:02final agreement, Iran still seems to be in the driver's seat.
01:06I actually think it's unlikely, not impossible, but unlikely that a final deal will be reached
01:14because the two sides are still so far apart.
01:18What the interim deal did was just open up the Straits of Hormuz and prolong the ceasefire.
01:25I think it's unlikely that Iran will make the kind of concessions that the U.S. wants,
01:30and we will maybe find ourselves in a situation of ongoing limbo, no fire, no warfare, not a
01:38real ceasefire until one of the sides decides that it's time to change the situation.
