00:00For what feels like the umpteenth day in a row, I am packing up to get out and again track
00:04severe weather across the high plains, which have seen severe weather pretty much every day for the last week, mainly
00:11in the form of large damaging hail, but we have seen some horrendous wind gusts, including over 100 miles per
00:16hour a couple of days ago, hail as big as softballs, and we've even seen a few tornadoes. Fortunately, the
00:21tornado threat continuing to be on that lower end scale, but again, we're going to be talking about the threat
00:26of large damaging hail with another round of supercell storms.
00:29Expected to fire off the front range and work their way across portions of eastern Wyoming and Colorado and eventually
00:35working their way into western Nebraska and Kansas, and then we continue to follow that threat as we get into
00:40the day tomorrow, looking at severe weather potential in the central plains that could include some tornadoes as well. Today,
00:47it is going to be an eastern Colorado day as we're going to be tracking storms forming off the front
00:51range. Again, large damaging hail. We could be looking at very big hail, maybe three to four inches in diameter,
00:56a few damaging wind gusts, not out of the question, and again,
00:59can't rule out a couple of tornadoes with the setup as well. The good news for folks in the high
01:03plains is we start to lessen the setups, lessen the ingredients as we get into the weekend, as we're really
01:08going to start to see the severe weather threat shift much, much further north as we get into early next
01:13week. But another day, another round of hail, another round of severe weather for folks here in eastern Colorado. Reporting
01:19from northern Colorado for AccuWeather, I'm meteorologist Tony Lawback.
01:22We'll be back.
01:23We'll be back.
