00:00We love to do it. Yeah. So is it your understanding that President Trump is
00:03going to sign the housing bill at a later date? And how much later can it go?
00:07Because as you said, affordability is huge for Americans. This is a key bill
00:11to do it with. Yeah, if it doesn't get you're talking about you're talking
00:15about days, you know, the window of time before. Yeah, it just passed last night.
00:19Right. So 10 days is my estimation. He'll do within that 10 day window. So
00:23yeah, speaking of the World Cup and rights, the Supreme Court is going to
00:28rule perhaps as soon as this week on President Trump's challenge to
00:31birthright citizenship. But then some of those Republicans, as you just did,
00:35and the White House are celebrating the U.S. men's national team whose top
00:39score is a birthright citizen. How should Americans square what looks like a
00:43celebration of immigration with efforts to criminalize birthright
00:47citizenship? Yeah, so like like all good things, they can be abused and
00:51birthright citizenship goes back to the, you know, root of the country, the
00:54history of the tradition. You look at the original intent of the Constitution
00:57and the founders and what they were doing, of course, they were facing a very
01:01different set of circumstances than we're facing now. We know that it's been
01:03abused in recent years because people have literally just come over the border
01:06just to have a baby so that they can, you know, avail themselves of the of the
01:10social welfare system of America. As I mentioned earlier, we're the most
01:13benevolent nation in the history of the world, but this must be done within
01:16reason. And so that's why the arguments were presented to the Supreme Court. Is it
01:20time to reevaluate that? We'll see where the court comes down on it. I think
01:23they're going to look at that as originalist as they are as textualist. I
01:27think they're also going to consider the factors that are at issue and and the
01:30strength and stability of the country. The president makes some very compelling
01:33arguments. The a lot of people do and we'll see how that shakes out. So I don't
01:37think it's inconsistent at all. I think we can celebrate immigration, legal
01:40immigration. We are a nation of immigrants, as we all recognize. My
01:44grandfather came over on a boat from Sicily with eight siblings and started a
01:47fruit stand, you know, and I'm the Speaker of the House. Only in America, okay? But but we embrace that.
01:53We know that that's part of our history, but we also expect that people will come.
01:57They will follow the spirit in the letter of the law. They will assimilate to our
02:00country and not try to transplant Sharia law and all these other crisis, you know,
02:04things and change who we are. I think that's a very important thing for American
02:07identity and I look forward to the court's opinion.
