02:34discussing feeling overwhelmed and we're going to our main verse today comes sorry tongue tied here
02:42comes from the the book of romans chapter 10 verse 8 and we're reading from the amplified classic version
02:51but what does it say the word god's message in christ is near you on your lips and in your
02:59heart
03:00that is the word the message the basis and object of faith which we preach
03:09amen and amen we got this beautiful woman standing right here woman of god which also happens to be my
03:16lovely wife so uh we got a great great night here in australia day morning afternoon wherever you are

04:38no amen all right so let me give you some context here so we're going to be studying feeling
04:47overwhelmed god's word holds the strength you're looking for so what if you spent as much time what
04:58if we spent as much time thinking about god's promises as we do worrying about our problems it might
05:06change everything in fact it will change everything throughout scripture we see a consistent pattern
05:13whenever god's people faced overwhelming situations their strength wasn't found in staring at their
05:20circumstances it was found in returning to what god had already spoken when joshua stood at the edge of
05:28the promised land facing a task much bigger than himself god did not give him a complicated military
05:34strategy instead he gave him a principle that would sustain him throughout his life joshua 1 verse 8
05:41in the amplified classic this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but you shall meditate
05:49on a day and night that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it but
05:55then
05:55you shall make your way prosperous and then you shall deal wisely and have good success
06:02who doesn't want to have good success right who doesn't want to be prosperous noticed that god
06:09instructed joshua to keep his word in free places in his mouth in his mind and in his action
06:17again i'll say in his mouth which means he must be constantly repeating it in his mind as he's
06:26repeating it he's thinking about it this is what god said that this is what it is in his action
06:31he's
06:32actually doing it before it happened he's he's thinking about what's going to happen concerning that
06:38even before it happens this is called biblical meditation see biblical meditation is not emptying
06:46your mind it is filling your mind with god's truth it is reading god's words speaking it loud and
06:54sometimes you can rehearse it until you even believe it right i'm thinking deeply about it and allowing
07:01it to shape your perspective decision and responses david understood this principle all too well in one of
07:10the darkest moment of his life after losing everything and facing rejection from his own man
07:16scripture tells us this it's found in one samuel chapter 30 verse 6 from the ampc david was
07:23greatly distressed for the man spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved
07:32each man for his sons and daughters but david encouraged and strengthened himself
07:40in the lord his god you see david did not deny reality he acknowledged the difficulty
07:50but he refused to allow the situation to become greater than god in his thinking he strengthened
07:57himself in the lord that is what meditation does it doesn't pretend the storm isn't real
08:02it reminds us that god is greater than the storm scripture continually calls us to lift our eyes
08:11above what is temporary and focus on what is eternal colossians 3 verse 2 amplified classic and set your
08:19minds and keep them set on what is above the higher things not on the things that are on the
08:24earth
08:24to corinthians 4 verse 18 in the amplified classic since we consider and look not to the things that are
08:31seen but to the things that are unseen for the things that are visible are temporal temporal grief and
08:38fleeting but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting we all know about abraham
08:45right the fathers of of many nations right abraham practiced this principle as well when god promised
08:53him descendants despite impossible circumstances he directed abraham's attention towards the
09:01stars genesis chapter 15 verse 5 from the ampc says this and he brought him outside his tent into the
09:09starlight and said look now towards the heavens and count the stars if you are able to number them
09:17then he said to him so shall your descendants be god gave abraham something visible to continually remind
09:26him of something invisible today god has given us something even greater his written word
09:36every promise in scripture serve as a reminder of god's faithfulness power and provision
09:43so the more we meditate on god's word the more our thinking begins to change we've spoken about this
09:48before our faith grows our hope strengthens our perspective shifts we become stronger not because life
09:58necessarily becomes easier but because our confidence in god becomes greater it's like driving through thick
10:05fog if we focus on how little we can see fear begins to take over but if we keep our
10:11eyes on the road
10:12on the markings directly ahead we can continue moving forward safely and confidently god's word functions
10:22the same way life may feel uncertain the future may seem unclear the challenges may appear overwhelming yet
10:30when we keep god's promises before our eyes they steady our hearts guide our thoughts and give us the strength
10:38strength to keep moving forward today we'll be declaring meditating and praying god's word emphasizing
10:47specifically the following topics number one reigning in life number two justice number three
10:55deliverance and number four prosperity amen all right we're going to start with the topic reigning in
11:03life because that's so important isn't it so we're going to cover this area a little bit
11:06uh on a deeper level than the other areas but reigning in life in another words succeeding in life
11:15conquering and going on conquering as the bible tells us we are supposed to reign in life
11:21george you're saying that everybody's supposed to reign in life every christian is meant to be the
11:25heads and not the tails every single one of us i'm not saying everybody's meant to be a billionaire
11:30but i'm support but i'm saying that every single one of christians every single believer is supposed
11:37to have greater influence greater impact greater uh presence in this world because we are christ
11:45ambassadors right as the bible tells us we are sons of the living god sons and daughters we are kings
11:51and
11:51priests we are soldiers of the kingdom of god we are temples of the holy spirit if we are all
11:56those things as
11:56christ declared over us then we are meant to be reigning in life amen amen but how can you say
12:03that if you're not reigning in this area you're not running there again you're starting with the
12:08focus on the wrong thing focus on god focus on his word you may not see it yet but it
12:14will get there
12:15but you're getting there it's gonna come it's going to come because jesus paid for it yeah you you
12:21you have to trust and the thing is i love how george said that it's not like we are all
12:26called to be
12:27millionaire it's one of the thing that i i personally learned the hard way where i used to at the
12:33start
12:33of being a christian comparing myself with a lot of people um a lot of comparison until you know i've
12:40learned um and by the grace of god with my husband and and our lord life experiences yes oh yes
12:47um i've
12:49learned that we all have our portion you know all our push all of us have our portion individually
12:56so god didn't make george look like sabrina or george doesn't look like looks like like me you know
13:01what it means is what it means is someone someone may god may have written okay i want you to
13:09save 50
13:10people and you i want you i've written in you five people doesn't mean god look down on the other
13:15one
13:15it means that the powerful that they they are taking are different but they're both achieving
13:20what god has written for them to do and both even if it is five if it is 50 when
13:25god is looking at
13:26them he's being he's like i'm proud of them but we because we live in this world where everything is
13:32based on numbers i mean your youtube how many people are going on it how many people are doing
13:38this how does it look like you know um how is their life are they are they taking picture
13:43what does it look like you know what i mean it's not like that this is how we measure but
13:49god
13:49measures things different he doesn't measure and say i love this one more than i love the other one
13:54what he's saying is i know your capacity i know how i created you if you do what you need
14:00to do i'm
14:00happy with you it doesn't matter what others say it doesn't matter if you look at the other one
14:05he's got 50 you don't know what he's gone through the other one say oh i have 50 but this
14:10one has
14:10five but you don't know that five might be as as difficult as you're getting the 50 right i hope
14:17it makes sense let's keep going all right reigning in life romans 5 verse 17. yes roman 5 17 reading
14:25from the amplified classic for if because of one man's trespass lapse offense death reign throughout
14:34through that one much more surely will those who receive god's overflowing grace unmerited favor and
14:42the free gift of righteousness putting them into right standing with himself reign as kings in life
14:49through the one man jesus christ the messiah the anointed one one man all right we just declared
14:56god's word so how do you meditate you meditate in different ways but you can meditate the way i'm
15:01about to do as well so you look at that verse and you break it down okay and you break
15:07it down based on
15:07holy spirit leading so for example as i was declaring that word i looked into it
15:13uh right now as as i'm speaking and i believe holy spirit is highlighting
15:20the fact that humanity collapsed humanity fell into sin and if because humanity collapsed and fell into sin
15:29every one every single person was going to die and i mean die as in dying that sin
15:39but because it says that but because of sin one man's fall a whole humanity was gonna
15:49collapse was gonna die then that means as well that through one man one perfect and righteous man
15:58humanity can also be restored can also be saved right yes that's what we see here on in this verse
16:05yes
16:06so as such jesus christ came down knowing that and he became that man he lived a holy life a
16:15righteous
16:15life and by doing so and as we put our faith in that gracious gift we become the righteousness of
16:26god
16:27as it says there and the free gift of righteousness putting them putting them who putting us
16:33into right standing with himself with god so when he looks at you now you're putting your faith in the
16:40work of jesus on that cross and the finished work he conquered the curse of sin and death as the
16:46bible
16:46tells us then when we put our faith in his finished work we are the righteousness of god in christ
16:53jesus as the
16:53bible tells us yes reigning reign as kings in life reign as kings in life kings reign in life that
17:07means
17:07you have power you have authority ordained authority from god himself to reign in your life not to be
17:15reigned by your life or by your circumstances or by the lack of finance or whatever no but to reign
17:23in your life and one of the ways we do that is exactly what we're doing right now you declare
17:29god's word you meditate on god's word and you pray god's word and you take action where needed exactly
17:34that's the start we're taking action through reading through meditation through prayer and then you take
17:41the action as holy spirit leads you there could be other actions other decisions you need to make
17:46so in this manner lord we pray and we thank you for your living word we thank you for romans
17:525 17.
17:54thank you for jesus for coming down yes for giving us that free gift of righteousness and holiness
17:59for saving us for saving us redeeming us justifying us and setting us as the righteousness of god in
18:07christ jesus thank you that you've ordained us you've ordained us you've commanded us you've equipped us to
18:16reign as kings in life through that one man jesus christ our messiah the anointed one amen
18:24so number two mattress chapter 6 verse 33 ampc but seek aim at and strive after first of all his
18:34kingdom
18:35and his righteousness his way of doing and being right and then all these things taken together
18:43will be given to you besides so george has already explained how to how to look into it so i'm
18:51just
18:51gonna then pray okay so for me when i look at that i look at it and i say lord
18:56help me lord god we thank
18:58you lord father god that you help all of us lord god to seek first your kingdom lord god to
19:03put you first
19:03in our life lord god and your righteousness lord god in our way of doing help us and teach us
19:09give us a
19:09teachable spirit lord god that we may do what you want us to do for this season not more not
19:16less lord
19:16god because it says in this verse his way of doing and being right and lord we thank you that
19:22all these
19:22things all the things of our life will be will come together lord god for your glory in the right
19:30place
19:30in the right portion lord god that belongs to us because we are seeking your kingdom first oh lord
19:35in jesus name we pray amen amen romans 8 31 romans 8 31 from the amplified classic what then shall
19:45we say
19:45to all this if god is for us who can be against us who can be our foe if god
19:54is on our side
19:56all right so no my boss he's always picking on me my neighbor is always swearing loudly i can't
20:09concentrate properly the next door neighbor's kid oh my goodness they they got a louder voice than
20:17pavarotti they can't stop it's like an opera every day thank you lord thank you lord then nothing can
20:28stand against us nothing can frustrate us nothing can can make us angry nothing can make us bitter
20:39because nothing can stand against us as your word says yes lord nothing nothing is even qualified to
20:46be our foe because you are on our side that's how i would meditate this first so lord i thank
20:54you for
20:54this word i thank you for romans 8 31 and i decree and declare that i thank you that no
20:59matter what we're
20:59going through i think and no matter what our brothers and sisters are going through those that are watching
21:04and listening right now there is nothing that can stand against you there is nothing that can stand
21:10against you because god is on your side that's right but this sickness but this this doctor said this
21:17that that job said that that teacher said that it doesn't nothing can stand against you declare god's
21:24word meditate on his word speak speak his word out loud speak it until you believe it speak until you
21:32believe amen psalm 145 verse 11 to 14 we're still reading from the am pc they shall speak of the
21:41glory of
21:42your kingdom and talk of your power to make known to the sons of men god's mighty deed and the
21:49glorious
21:49majesty of his kingdom your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion and jews throughout all
21:56generations the lord uphold all those of his own who are falling and raises up all those who are bowed
22:06down amen and you need to bring the whole thing up amen amen so for me when i look at
22:12that i said lord
22:13we thank you lord god that you help us lord to represent you well lord god that all will see
22:19lord god
22:20the mighty deeds lord god through our life to give you glory lord god and honor lord god all generations
22:26throughout lord god how it will speak of your goodness oh lord god and wherever father god that
22:32we we are weak that you may be our strong because it says here the lord uphold all those of
22:37his own who
22:38are falling and raises up all those who are bowed down so lord i declare it over us and over
22:44all those
22:45who are listening lord god that you are our strengths lord wherever we are weak that you lord god
22:50hallelujah help us lord god to be the head and not the tail and whatever we do that those who
22:55see
22:55will see the mighty deeds of your hand upon our life let there be no doubt that we belong to

23:01let help us oh lord to be the salt of the earth for lord in jesus mighty name let all
23:06our circumstances

23:17he will guard the feet of his godly ones but the wicked shall be silenced and perish in darkness
23:24for by strength shall no man prevail the adversaries of the lord shall be broken to pieces against them will
23:33be thunder in heaven the lord will judge all peoples to the ends of the earth and he will give
23:39strength
23:40to his king king and exalt the power of his anointed anointed his christ amen thank you lord hallelujah
23:51all right so here
23:55we are the godly ones thank you lord that we are the godly ones as your word says we he
23:59will guard
23:59the feet of his godly ones so we are the godly ones so believe that we are the godly ones
24:05and those
24:06wicked that come against us or come against god those that come against us are coming against god
24:12literally it's into what a god says that those that are wicked that come against us are coming against
24:19god we are not gods we are god's representatives we represent god the adversaries of the lord
24:26shall be broken to pieces against them will be will he thunder in heaven thank you jesus what does this
24:35mean this means that he will not overcome them like man overcomes men he will overcome them with his
24:41sovereign power supernatural power that cannot be stopped so supernatural power is on your side supernatural
24:50power from heaven is on your side and the lord will judge all peoples to the ends of the earth
24:57all those
24:57that are attacking you all those that are persecuting persecuting you viciously wickedly those wicked people
25:05and he will give strength to his king talking about jesus and exalt the power of his anointed talking
25:11about jesus exalt his power why so that jesus can move in and through us so that jesus can fulfill
25:18all that
25:19is called to fulfill he had his ministry when he came on earth but he's still ministering when he's in
25:25heaven think about that he is he's not just sitting there doing nothing so remember the god of the
25:33universe is on our side he's moving with supernatural power jesus is being given the power that he needs
25:41all that he needs to move on our behalf hallelujah so lord we seal this prayer we seal this word
25:48over
25:48our lives and we thank you lord for reminding us that we are your godly ones yes we belong to
25:53you you
25:53are on our side and you have supernatural power backing us and jesus is on our side hallelujah hallelujah
26:03amen amen right colossians chapter 1 verse 12 to 13 ampc giving thanks to the father who has qualified and
26:13made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints god's holy people in
26:20the light the father has delivered and drawn us to himself out of the control and the dominion of
26:26darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the son of his love so for me when i see
26:33that as i
26:33see that my inheritance has changed i'm no longer the old person but the new one right so lord we
26:39just
26:39want to declare this word over our life and all those who are hearing me that we that the that
26:44the
26:44past have no authority upon us lord god but we are a new creation in christ jesus hallelujah for you
26:50have
26:51delivered and drawn us to yourself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and transfer us lord
26:57god as your sons and daughters we belong to you lord god and we thank you lord god hallelujah that
27:03you have made us qualified us oh lord god to share in that portion and we declare that all the
27:10inheritance that you have set for us is yes and amen lord god not just just in word but in
27:15manifestation
27:16lord god so we can represent you well in jesus name amen there's one area here that i just wanted
27:23to point
27:23point out very clearly as well that lord highlighted for me is that he has delivered the father has delivered
27:29and drawn us to himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness doesn't say that he's
27:36delivered us out of darkness he says that he's delivered us out of the control
27:42and the dominion of darkness there's a difference because remember the god himself said that we that
27:48this world is under the influence of the prince of this world who's the prince of this world right
27:53now until jesus comes back it is the devil so this is a fallen world right now but he's
27:59cut that cord he's cut those chains that were holding us back that were um what's the word that
28:08that were restraining restraining us from fulfilling all that god's called us to fulfill from living the
28:14life that god's called us to live so we are delivered from that from the control yes that dominion of
28:20darkness over our lives yes and he's transferred us into the kingdom of the son of his life of course
28:25we're not in the kingdom of god in heaven but we have the kingdom of god in us the word
28:30of god tells
28:30us in luke 17 that the kingdom of god is within us that's right so we now have the backing
28:35of god
28:38the whole kingdom is behind us in other words amen amen so let's pray over the what george said
28:43right so father in the name of jesus we thank you lord god that the enemy has no control over
28:48us because we
28:49belong to you you are our father we have there be nothing in common between us and the enemy lord
28:55god in jesus name every chain of restraint over our life over our circumstances is been broken in jesus name
29:03but the fullness the abundance the rod and the staff of the lord is our portion in jesus name we

29:28abide vitally united to me and my words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts ask whatever
29:36you will and it shall be done for you if you live in me it's he's not saying for us

30:05when you're washing the dishes do everything onto the lord do it onto the lord when you're uh uh cleaning
30:13cleaning the rooms do it onto the lord when you're loving on a kid do it onto the lord when
30:17you're
30:17teaching them when you're in your workplace love onto the lord include him in everything that's being
30:24that's united with god you're you're acknowledging his presence that's so vital when you acknowledge his
30:33presence you united with him and his words remain in us remember the kingdom of god is within us the
30:40kingdom is entails his presence the joy of his indwelling all his spirit but entails his word
30:48we are now in jesus jesus is in us the bible tells us that and who is the word the
30:53word was god and the
30:54word was with god the word is jesus christ so as we habitually acknowledge him in everything we do in

34:54will be judged so we can rejoice in the fact that our god is a just god so lord we

35:01we thank you for reminding us in 2 peter 2 verse 9 amongst other verses that you are a just

35:08thank you that even in those moments where we think that you are taking too long or where we think

35:12you are not watching and you're not listening you're not seeing the things that we are suffering

39:12christ jesus his righteousness is your righteousness he made you in right standing that's what righteousness
39:19means in right standing with christ with christ jesus with the lord you are now in right standing not

39:31so when the righteous cry for help if you're crying for help know and understand that the lord's he is
39:38so don't think you're alone that's what the word is saying here he is hearing our our cry and he

39:45deliver us from all our distress and troubles now he doesn't say here he immediately delivers us he says he
39:50delivers us because remember there is a time and a season for everything that's right and god knows

45:42but he's not like that he's come so that we may enjoy life so for those who are thinking uh

45:58to be easier there is a lot of christians in certain denominations that would rather not exercise
46:04faith that's what i believe than to exercise faith because it's uh it's false hope there's no such

46:14and um sometimes some people believe in predestination in the sense that everything's already planned
46:21out by god and if everything's already planned out by god then what's the point of any faith what's
46:25the point of even believing in god if he's already chosen who he wants to save who he doesn't if

46:30already chosen your life out completely if he already knew that you were going to say no and you're
46:34going to go to hell then what kind of a god is that that i mean it just doesn't compute

46:41but he is not saying that he's saying remember i'm not like that i'm not scamming you here i have

46:49that you may enjoy life so don't feel guilty when you say lord i want to enjoy life i feel
