00:00There's always a desire for audience to see comedy.
00:02Comedy will always work. It worked in the Depression. It worked in the war.
00:06People need to laugh. If they don't laugh, there's no perspective to their life.
00:09I think there is a humanness to what I do, that people relate to.
00:13I certainly relate to it.
00:16Television is about being comfortable with the people who are on the screen
00:19because they are in your home, and if you're not comfortable with them, you'll turn them off.
00:23So what I do is about being comfortable with these characters because they are in your home,
00:29and you do everything but serve them dinner one day a week,
00:32and it's my job to make them shower and be clean when they come into your home.
