00:00America is learning just how close we came to a national nightmare.
00:04More than 80,000 Americans gathered in our nation's capital for a once-in-a-lifetime event,
00:09celebrating 250 years of America with UFC fights on the White House lawn.
00:14What we did not know, federal investigators say there was a terror plot already in motion.
00:20According to the Justice Department, five men are accused of planning a mass casualty attack,
00:25with investigators identifying 23 people as a part of the potential domestic terrorist network.
00:31They plan to use drones to drop explosives into the crowd, triggering panic,
00:36and enforce an evacuation, then deploy snipers to fire into the fleeing crowd,
00:40as well as target President Trump and other members of his cabinet.
00:44Tyson Proper was the first arrested after his mother called police over concern of his recent conduct.
00:50His parents saying he spent thousands of dollars on firearms, ammunition, tactical gear,
00:56and was spending most of his time online, likely speaking, to co-conspirators.
01:01Thankfully, the FBI, working with law enforcement across multiple states,
01:05stopped the plot before it got into motion.
01:08Thank God for that mom that chose to alert law enforcement.
01:11Thank God for the agents who caught it.
01:13And thank God that they acted swiftly.
01:15But here's the real disturbing reality, friends.
01:17Friends, we've gone from assassination attempts against President Trump to plots targeting not just him,
01:24but those who support him.
01:25Friends, that's an escalation that every American should take seriously.
01:29This wasn't random.
01:31Prosecutors say it was coordinated, planned, and designed to maximize chaos and casualties.
01:37This is still an active, ongoing investigation.
01:39Even though the UFC Freedom 250 is over, the investigation is not.
01:44And this administration will keep working until everyone is identified.
01:48Joining me now is former NYPD detective Robert Garland and former U.S. Secret Service agent Barry Donatio.
01:55Gentlemen, thank you for joining the polls this evening.
01:57Tyson Proper, he told investigators that this attack was designed to jumpstart a revolution in the United States
02:04and others who are allegedly involved and that have yet to be arrested.
02:08So, Barry, does this concern you that copycats might try to pick up where these guys left off?
02:15Dave, thanks for having me on your show again.
02:17Great to be with you.
02:18And, yes, absolutely.
02:19This is very, very serious.
02:21And you took my words already.
02:23Thank God for the police.
02:25Thank God for Knox County Sheriff's Department.
02:27Thank God for Dansville Police over in Ohio.
02:30Thank God for the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service.
02:33If also that mom did not call and notify authorities, we might be in a very dark place right now.
02:40And, you know, there would be casualties.
02:42So this is very serious.
02:44And exactly what the complaint said is what you said.
02:47It was designed to jumpstart a revolution.
02:50And that's where we are in this country.
02:52The political rhetoric has to step down, slow down, get rid of it.
02:57You're not a hero if you plan to go and kill somebody and kill innocent people in Washington, D.C.
03:04We have to put that message out, and it has to stop.
03:08Yeah, it must stop.
03:09You're not a hero if you cause innocent life and try to create any kind of chaos like this.
03:14You're just not a hero.
03:15You'll go down as a terrorist, period.
03:17Now, five people were arrested, but this group was all over the United States,
03:21communicating through Signal chats and TikTok groups.
03:24So, Robert, have you ever seen anything quite like this?
03:28So, David, thank you for having me.
03:30Barry, it's a pleasure.
03:31Now, yes, I actually have.
03:33I work complex investigations, narcotics, and the NYPD, wiretap investigations.
03:36And there were times that we would see communications going on on different applications,
03:40such as WhatsApp, Signal, and other hidden applications.
03:44You know, but what people don't see, the public eye, what do they see?
03:47They see countless checkpoints, right?
03:49They don't see what's going on, the countless hours of intelligence work that's going on,
03:52the sharing of this work that's going on between Secret Service and different police departments,
03:58different agencies.
03:59And you know what?
03:59Can we talk about something?
04:00The fact that we're discussing arrest and there's no casualties, that's a testament to this work.
04:06It's a true testament.
04:08Yeah.
04:09Yeah, it definitely is.
04:10This definitely could have been a lot worse.
04:12And all the world was watching as well.
04:15I don't know who wasn't watching.
04:16Now, according to the affidavit, this group was broken up into tiers, with Tier 1 being operators on the ground.
04:23One of the suspects said, Tier 1 status is not something you take lightly.
04:27You will be sacrificing for your country and carrying a brunt of the weight.
04:32So, Barry, these lunatics literally think they're actually fighting in some way, shape, or form for America.
04:37They feel like they're doing this for their country.
04:39They understand that it could cost them their life, yet they're willing to go through with it?
04:44Is this a new breed, a different kind of criminal that we're dealing with here now?
04:48It looks like a bunch of misguided young people that want to feel special.
04:54And that's it.
04:55It's nothing more than that.
04:56And if you're led down the path to do something like this,
04:59and led down the path by a group of people that you've never met on the Internet,
05:04who, by the way, can be foreign intelligence agents posing as other Americans to get us to kill each other.
05:11Okay, that's a very real possibility.
05:13And I'm very curious to see what's really behind this.
05:17So, listen, if you're watching this show and you're young and you have these thoughts,
05:22make no mistake about it, you're going to be in a jail cell for the rest of your life.
05:26These young people, I think they were manipulated.
05:28It's very sad.
05:29They're also a victim of this because they're not thinking straight.
05:33They're getting all their information off the Internet.
05:35They're making a life-changing decision based on somebody they never met just to feel special.
05:40And this young man here that we're talking about, he's going to be spending,
05:44if not the rest of his life in jail, probably a good 20 years or so.
05:49Yeah, he's going to be away for a very long time.
05:51Now, former FBI Director, Deputy Director Dan Bongino,
05:54he's warning that rapidly advancing drone technology is a major threat,
05:58saying this technology is evolving on probably weekly, not monthly cycles.
06:03It's very difficult to defeat.
06:05So, Robert, is the FBI prepared for this,
06:07these drones in the hands of unbedded people with no military background whatsoever?
06:12I'm by no means trained in the FBI.
06:15I'm only trained in NYPD and what I know there.
06:17And I can more than likely assure the American public that they're definitely prepared for this.
06:21You know, what Kash Patel said, he said that we're here to protect the United States,
06:27protect the American citizen, correct?
06:28And they thwarted this attack to make sure that nothing went on.
06:31So, by all means, I believe that they're 100 percent ready for these types of attacks.
06:35It's scary.
06:35It is a scary threat, but I don't think it's going to happen.
06:39Yeah, hopefully there's some kind of technology to detect drones when we've got,
06:43I'm sure the place was lit up with our own snipers and Secret Service and security all around the White
06:48House.
06:48But how close can someone get with the drone?
06:50You know, how far can it fly before it's detected?
06:53All those things become very, very serious questions that need to be answered.
06:56And I'm sure they're working on it.
06:57Now, according to one of the suspect's mothers,
06:59the group complained about government corruption,
07:02handling of the Epstein files, data centers, and other government actions.
07:07So, Barry, how much do you think that these people were influenced by the media's negative coverage of President Trump?
07:14Well, quite obviously, quite a bit.
07:17As we can see, it just seems to be the new thing that the younger generation is manipulated very easily
07:24by anything they see on the Internet.
07:27They hear something and they take it as solid gold that it's true.
07:31And you really have to vet your sources.
07:34If you are concerned about something, please do the research.
07:38And, you know, another thing, everybody in this country has a right to run for office.
07:43If you're unhappy with the way our country is going,
07:46each and every one of us can run for political office and be part of the solution that they seek.
07:51You don't have to do it with a gun.
07:53You can do it through the ballot box.
07:56And I recommend that.
07:57So if you're not happy, run for office, run for Congress, run for your local county office,
08:03whatever it might be.
08:04But don't ever think about doing something like this.
08:07You'll spend the rest of your life in a jail cell.
08:09You might be dead.
08:10And you certainly won't be known as a hero.
08:14Yeah, and you'll destroy the lives of all those, you know, all the family around you,
08:18you know, especially if they already carry something like this out.
08:21Not only are they destroying other people's lives, but your own family.
08:24It's just they're going to be torn up forever over it.
08:27Now, Robert, how concerned are you about potential future attacks against President Trump?
08:33I mean, those future attacks can happen at any time, right?
08:35But I'm not concerned.
08:36I believe that we're prepared for this.
08:38We're ready to go.
08:39And we're making every necessary precaution to make sure that nothing like this happens.
08:43Now, you know, something to go off of what Barry said, a lot of these individuals,
08:47the younger society that's coming through, all of their action that they're doing,
08:51there's no repercussions for any actions anymore.
08:53And it's sad.
08:54It's really sad.
08:55You know, as a retired law enforcement officer,
08:57I saw the way that, you know, policing changed over the years, over the course of 15, 20 years.
09:04And in today's day and age, there's cameras everywhere.
09:07People are afraid to do anything.
09:08Officers are afraid to do their job.
09:10And it's really sad.
09:11It's sad, especially like at large scale events when there's there could be a potential attack.
09:16You know, they're still afraid to do their job.
09:20Well, I'm thankful for all of the people out there that pray for the safety of President Donald Trump.
09:24I think this is case in point.
09:25One more reason, just a reminder, to pray for the safety of our president, his family, our administration,
09:30and pray that terror attacks like this get thwarted, get found out, and get stopped just like this one did.
09:36Robert Garland and Barry Donatio, God bless you both.
09:39Thanks for joining The Pulse tonight.
09:42Coming up, I'll...
