02:36Give us those questions, comments, and concerns, and I will get to those in a future episode.
02:40Tonight, gotta talk about the huge news of the week.
02:43Janelle Grant and Vince McMahon's teams both agreeing to move their litigation to private arbitration, binding arbitration.
02:51They sent a letter on the 11th compelling the judge to end the June 16th date that they were supposed
02:59to appear to discuss exploration and whatnot and discovery.
03:03And this instead, you very rarely get to hear a judge say no when both sides agree to arbitration.
03:10Normally, I'm kind of surprised Janelle Grant's team, because whenever you go to arbitration, she's going to make out with
03:15less money than she would have had she gone to civil court.
03:18You have to wonder why.
03:20My understanding is, and from the news reports I've seen, various news outlets have talked about the fact that something
03:26was in the documentation for the lawsuit earlier in the week where WWE was, you know,
03:32able to avoid any misgivings with the shareholders, and that this way, because of that information, somehow that influenced this
03:39trial.
03:39I don't know if that's true or not.
03:40I'm obviously not a legal expert.
03:42I wish I was.
03:43But this is very peculiar after coming out with the kind of claims and allegations and things that Janelle Grant
03:49had and the legality of the things that she's talking about.
03:53Very shocking, in my opinion, to see them go to arbitration.
03:56Now, she'll probably still walk away with a hefty sum of money.
03:58Let's be honest, had she just, had Vince McMahon just paid her the $3 million at the beginning, we wouldn't
04:02be talking about this right now.
04:04He'd still be in control of WWE.
04:06Thank God he's not.
04:06But that's not the point.
04:08Some people are wondering if, and look, let's be honest, this is pretty much sealing the deal on this.
04:13You know, we're not going to know what happened.
04:15It's going to be behind closed doors, and we're never going to know.
04:17And the only thing I think is terrible about that is there may have been other people who had things
04:22that they needed to come forward and talk about who now will not get that opportunity.
04:26They're going to have to either bring their own case or stay silent forever.
04:29If there was some kind of situation, I hope that it comes to light.
04:33And, again, I'm not taking sides, but you have to treat people correctly, especially in the workplace, but anywhere for
04:39that matter.
04:39This was an uncomfortable court case from the beginning.
04:42I'm not going to go into all the details.
04:43If you want to know, go look it up online.
04:45But this young lady has been through quite a lot, voluntary, involuntary, all that, because I've heard people argue on
04:51both sides.
04:51I don't care.
04:52No matter what it is, a young lady working in a high-powered situation with a guy like Vincent Manis,
04:59her boss, there's a clear power imbalance there no matter what way you sling it.
05:03So that's not okay on the surface by itself.
05:06So whatever happened should not have happened.
05:09And so we're going to have to wait and see how this plays out, what happens if other people come
05:13forward, if other lawsuits are filed.
05:14I'm not sure how that will play out.
05:15But it sounds like we're not going to get to hear much of anything about, any kind of details, any
05:20resolution.
05:22The question now becomes, will Vince McMahon make any kind of return to WWE?
05:25Remember, he does still own a significant portion, over 5% of the shares of the company.
05:30And if they're going to make this go away, I don't see why he couldn't come back.
05:34I did see on, gosh, I want to say the James Romero show, which if you've never checked out James'
05:40show, you really should.
05:41It's a phenomenal show.
05:43So he was talking about how he would suspect that you might see Vince McMahon inducted into the Hall of
05:48Fame 2027 and be the only inductee.
05:52That's possible, I suppose, because of this going away.
05:55But I do think there's at least an opportunity to work with Vince McMahon at some point.
05:58He did start his new company, and I know he's moved to doing some other things.
06:03But obviously this was his baby, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he returns and does something with
06:08him.
06:08Speaking of returns, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, CM Punk.
06:13Let's get to all of them.
06:14Drew McIntyre out filming Highlander, going through post-production and all that kind of stuff.
06:18Randy Orton taking some time to heal up and spend some time with the family.
06:22And CM Punk, who was the controversial one with all the rumors coming out last week, all scheduled to be
06:27back in time for SummerSlam.
06:29CM Punk reportedly is going to switch brands upon returning.
06:32He's going to go over to SmackDown.
06:33But apparently he is good to go.
06:35There's no concerns about him not appearing for the company anymore.
06:38Any of that crazy nonsense that was being put out in the news.
06:40As a matter of fact, he was announced for one of the FanFests next week.
06:45So obviously something's fine because he's going to be appearing for WWE in that capacity.
06:51And in terms of Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton, not sure what they'll be doing yet.
06:54But both were advertised for the May 29th edition of SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain.
06:59Neither one appeared, but they are apparently ready to be back for SummerSlam with plans that should be rolling out,
07:05hopefully, very shortly.
07:07Rumor has it the July 6th WWE Raw in Chicago is where we might see CM Punk's return.
07:13The other two, not sure.
07:15But I think sooner than later is a good thing.
07:17Night of Champions would not be a bad idea to at least bring one back.
07:20But we'll have to wait and see how that all plays out and see what angles they're going to have
07:23them do.
07:25Moving on a little bit, Piper Niven in the news sadly had to undergo another surgery.
07:31But she did give an injury recovery update.
07:38Her statement was, she goes, I know who I'm kidding.
07:44She put a laughing face in my mouth.
07:45She said, don't count me out just yet.
07:47Just letting people know that it will be a long time and maybe possibly not at all.
07:51So we don't have an exact answer to the same question 50 times a stream talking about whether she could
07:55return to the ring.
07:56Look, her neck injury is very, very serious.
07:58She had to have multiple disc fusion surgery and all that stuff.
08:01Very, very serious injury.
08:03Look, I would love to see her back in the ring.
08:04If not, I would love to see her be a trainer or have some kind of backstage role.
08:08She's an incredible talent, super underappreciated.
08:10But let's be honest, she deserves the opportunity to go out in a different way than just having this secret
08:16harvest be the last thing we ever see of her.
08:18And that's just it.
08:20But we'll have to, again, we'll have to wait and see.
08:22Now, somebody else who long shot at best, but this week opened the doorway to possibly make a return, is
08:28John Cena.
08:29If you asked me before this week if John Cena would ever wrestle again, I'd say heck no, not a
08:33chance.
08:34Even with all the money that the Saudis are going to throw around for WrestleMania, I still would have said
08:38no chance.
08:39However, Bully Ray is one of the people, busted open, who has a different opinion.
08:43Busted open radio, he said that there's a 95% chance that I'll never wrestle again.
08:49Bully explained.
08:50But if you have the money and the situation was right, I might consider it.
08:56Is there an event coming up in the WWE where anybody would have the money, no pun intended, to offer
09:02John Cena to wrestle again?
09:04And the answer is yes.
09:05That's Saudi show.
09:06That WrestleMania.
09:07Now, how could you compromise that ending to a career?
09:12You know what I mean?
09:13He went out, all that hoopla, this last thing, people paid exorbitant prices to see that, and then you essentially
09:18steal that from them by wrestling again?
09:21Very messed up if they do.
09:22I would not be surprised if the Saudis do that.
09:24He could play the angle works, but it was my last match in North America.
09:27This is not North America or something stupid like that.
09:29But John Cena himself made it clear that it's not impossible.
09:35He left the door open.
09:38I'm not sure.
09:39I'm not sure how to feel about this.
09:42But with the fact that he left the door cracked open is not a definitive like it was a few
09:51months ago.
09:51So we'll have to wait and see.
09:53Maybe he's missing it.
09:53I don't know.
09:54He did say, if I remember correctly, that it would be like, I forget how he phrased it, like a
09:59massive financial loss if he went back to wrestling for one more match.
10:03You know, because of what he would have to give up in Hollywood.
10:06But, again, we'll have to wait and see how things play out.
10:08And the last thing we want to get to in this episode, Slammiversary 2026 is starting to take shape.
10:13There's a lot going on.
10:14We clearly were going to get to see Nick Nemeth challenge Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship.
10:19I suspect Nick Nemeth wins the championship there would mean that Mike Santana was coming to WWE.
10:25If Santana retains, then I would assume that means he's staying.
10:28I'm not sure how that's going to happen, how they're going to play that out.
10:31He just beat Eric Young this past week.
10:34It's going to be very, very interesting.
10:37Zia Brookside is going to get a chance to challenge for the Knockout Women's Championship.
10:43Again, not sure how that's going to play out.
10:44That's a feud that's been going on for quite a while now.
10:46Mustafa Ali just defended his international championship successfully.
10:51He's going to be defending his championship.
10:54We don't know who his challenger is going to be yet.
10:58But then the really interesting one is the X Division.
11:00So the X Division Championship is going to be on the line.
11:03Cedric Alexander defending against Leon Slater.
11:08I'm trying to remember who the other wrestlers are that are going to be in the match.
11:12I know it's Leon Slater.
11:14Oh, gosh, this is going to drive me nuts.
11:15I'm feeling bad about this.
11:16Cedric Alexander, Leon Slater.
11:17Oh, Frankie Kazarian.
11:18How can I forget Frankie Kazarian?
11:20But on TNA Wrestling, they did a teaser vignette for somebody returning at Slammiversary.
11:26And a lot of people, if you look closely at the gear, at the marking on the hand, the color,
11:31believe that this is going to be the Amazing Red making a return to TNA for the first time since
11:362011 when he's been doing Game Changer Wrestling ever since.
11:40But this could be an exciting moment to see Amazing Red back in a TNA ring.
11:44If he's coming in, is this a one-off?
11:46Is this a multiple appearance thing?
11:49I know a lot of TNA contracts are per-appearance deals or short-term deals as it is anyways.
11:55But it will be interesting to see how things go if that is indeed the Amazing Red.
12:00And we also know the World Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a three-way ladder match.
12:04The system, Brian Myers and Bear Bronson are going to defend against the Hardys and the Righteous.
12:09I think the match should be solid.
12:12And then we're also going to see Eric Young is going to face Ricky Sosa, who essentially cost him his
12:20match last week.
12:21And we're also going to get to see Eddie Edwards and Moose, which is not a first time, but always
12:26a good time.
12:27So Slammiversary is shaping up to be a really, really good card.
12:30I'm excited for it.
12:31I hope you are too.
12:32TNA, look, they've gotten a bad rap lately because after that debut on AMC, some of their shows started to
12:37tank a little bit.
12:38This is a strong card.
12:40I'm actually, I hate to say it, I'm actually kind of hoping Mike Santana retains it.
12:43I think some people say he's done everything he can do in TNA.
12:46Not really.
12:47He's a major star now.
12:49He can carry them a little longer.
12:51You know, it's like saying, oh, well, AJ Styles should have left TNA after a year and a half.
12:54No, there was a lot he still had to offer, and I still think Mike Santana could offer quite a
12:58bit.
12:58But if he does go to WWE, I hope it's straight to the main roster.
13:01None of this NXT time.
13:03I really don't think he needs that.
13:04I think he's ready to go, but we'll have to wait and see if that does indeed happen.
13:08That's all the time we have for this episode.
