AccuWeather's Bernie Rayno says travelers in the Midwest and Northeast should watch for afternoon storms that will disrupt flights, including in Chicago, Kansas City and Washington, D.C.
Transcript
00:00I don't think we're looking at many problems if you're doing any traveling in Texas right now
00:05across the country. You don't have any delays at all, but they will be coming, especially this
00:09afternoon. As I always say, travel in the morning. You always have less headaches in the morning
00:16because as as we start to get more and more flights leaving the major airports, that's where
00:22you're more susceptible to delays. No delays right now in the north central United States,
00:27but there will be this afternoon. There's probably going to be ground stops here in Chicago
00:31and O'Hara Midway. At least minor delays in Detroit, problems in Kansas City and even in Minneapolis
00:37as we go through today. Watch the northeast as well with spotty thunderstorms this afternoon.
00:42That means some delays.
