00:16elephant in the room uh Greg appreciate you hopping on with us Aaron Boone said a couple of
00:21days ago that uh a specialist would take a look at Aaron Judge's right shoulder and upper rib
00:27area he's missed some time because of it you guys spoke to Boone just now what is the most recent
00:34update you can give us on Judge and can we expect him out there again soon yeah so the latest
00:42is uh
00:43machine especially yesterday we'll suggested more imaging more specific imaging so you went for
00:49another MRI last night Wednesday night uh then it's morning every morning you went for another
00:53system school and they never had scrape so we're waiting on at least as of about 11 30 on
00:59Thursday morning they're waiting for doctors to remove the inhibitors uh it's complicated
01:03found by the fact there's a swelling in that area and so they're trying to get there's the
01:07best view of it to figure out who he's walking up with walls it sounds like they might know in
01:12the next
01:13couple hours uh this is actually a definitive diagnosis I mean the fact that it's faking with
01:19song they're getting all these imaging doesn't seem to be a great line uh so and good will think
01:25wouldn't be surprising but well with a guy like Judge uh they're gonna you know take their time as long
01:32as
01:32they can to figure out exactly what they're dealing with because there's still a slight chance to keep it
01:37more I didn't do what's all together and just need a few days or in fact the case that obviously
01:41be willing to leave for that but usually when you know a guy gets this many tests and images and
01:47specialists and doctors uh it's not just to say that everything's fine so hopefully you should know
01:53more in the coming hours but uh obviously they're kind of looming in the over everything here in
01:58the series you know I don't want to you know speculate too much here but exactly like you said when
02:03there's a lot of testing imaging going on there could be something a little bit more going uh going
02:09on within you know a player or athlete's body with anything Boone said did did anything kind of
02:15not so much rub you the wrong way but maybe give you the idea that they could be a little
02:21bit
02:21worried or more worried that there could be something more going on uh with Aaron Judge
02:28I not necessarily what he said but just the fact that it's taking this long um you know usually
02:34it's as simple as getting uh you know an MRI or a CT scan you're going to buy a bill
02:39you know
02:40some kind of that they didn't know what they were there obviously they did that and you know initially
02:45saw the bone bruise but the fact that there's that swelling around it uh that's making something
02:49that will come in to see like maybe you know there's the worry the risk that that can be adding
02:55something uh you know underneath the swelling uh so I think that's maybe the one thing that he said
03:01that kind of catch me you know he probably didn't be in a couple of times which is basically swelling
03:05I think some fluid around the area so the fact that that's happening makes you think makes you
03:09wonder of what exactly they're going to find underneath there but I'm seeing early here uh you know
03:15the biggest question is what is it and how long is it going to be uh you know it's a
03:19short term I
03:19think that would be that's the scenario of this panel all right you got everybody sitting on pins
03:23and needles waiting for the result of the imaging from Aaron uh judge and since we're talking injuries
03:30right now did he provide any update on a possible return timeline on Jason Dominguez and John Carlos
03:38Stanton yeah so Dominguez is certainly looks closer at this point he's going to go out on a rehab
03:44assignment tomorrow uh the plan is for him to play Friday and Sunday and then probably a couple more
03:49games next week uh but I think it sounds possible at least that we can join them you know later

03:55the road trip that starts on Monday um you know sure things we have games go well uh Boone said
04:01he
04:01doesn't expect John Carlos Stanton to join them on that road trip he's still uh kind of building up
04:06his running progression hit off block pitch and yesterday for the first time uh he's scheduled to do
04:12that again Saturday here at the stadium uh but the running progression uh working project it sounds
04:18like it's gotten better the last couple days that they're you know kind of bouncing back better from
04:22from doing more activity uh but sometimes that running progression can take a little bit uh you know
04:28kind of builds up to running the bases so uh still without a concrete timeline but the fact that he's
04:34not doesn't sound like he's going to be an option for them on a second road trip and
04:38uh they're not going to rush him back because God is uh you know missing being serious because
04:44it would be that too quickly that we're going to be missing both of them so uh but I would
04:48expect
04:48the thing that's back before Stanley all right appreciate those injury updates on those guys now
04:53let's talk a little uh a little baseball here Yankees trying to avoid that June swoon uh as they go
05:00through throughout the course of these last uh recent uh seasons but what's going on with this guy
05:05Austin Wells he's in his own little slump within himself he's batting 169 with a 544 OPS do the
05:13Yankees feel as though he can get himself out of this slump or do you think they're going to start
05:19looking for his potential replacement yeah I mean at this point there's not a ton of options uh
05:26to replace him I think that you know the most realistic one is giving JT a star for more runs
05:32uh which he had started to over the last couple weeks uh getting in there a little bit more often
05:36he's in there today although you know that's you can kind of jot that up the day game not the
05:41night
05:41game which has been the bulk of his action so far this year but they have started to use a
05:45little
05:45bit more to feel like they haven't been uh you know I think at this point it's obviously been a
05:51struggle for Wells but I think they value so much what he does behind the plate and we've noticed
05:55with the pitching staff and he's obviously been one of the best in baseball but I don't think it's
06:00and you know I think a lot of other positions you know maybe you sent a guy down to triple
06:05a to
06:05kind of work on some stuff offensively or uh you know maybe got somebody else out but I think they
06:11value so much what Wells for any side of the pitcher that uh I think they're kind of trying to
06:17have him work through it up here um you know there's been different times where they you know the
06:23first month of the season he was still getting his walks and hitting some hard contact the last
06:27month has been less of that uh kind of looks you know a lot of times kind of looks a
06:32little bit
06:32lost up there kind of in between our timing um you know Eric said the other day he feels like
06:38sometimes in postings he feels like he's trying to go the other way too much which then
06:42it was laid off pitches and we're just having a good air to stop out of it um yeah it's
06:47been a rough
06:48though obviously especially now and you know they got some guys banged up and that lineup gets a lot
06:53shorter the second half which is or he comes a little bit more of a black hole that's more of
07:00an issue
07:00but um I think at this point they still value what he is that would catcher what he does in
07:05the
07:05pitching staff we're going to try to get half and look through that thing all right greg joyce
