00:00Today we are providing another 1.5 billion to Ukraine, which is the sixth payment under the
00:06macrofinancial assistance plus package for Ukraine, worth up to 18 billion euros for this year.
00:13Ukraine has so far received 10.5 billion under this package, and the support will allow Ukraine
00:19to ensure macroeconomic stability and restore critical infrastructure destroyed by Russia
00:24in its war of aggression. It will help Ukraine to keep on paying wages and pensions,
00:30and maintain essential public services running, such as hospitals and schools. Today's payment
00:36comes after the Commission found that Ukraine continued to make satisfactory progress to
00:41strengthen the rule of law, enhance financial stability, improve the functioning of the gas
00:46system, and promote a better business climate. As a result of these achievements, there will be two
00:52further monthly payments to Ukraine of 1.5 billion each in August and September.
