00:00Very hard day for me personally today. It's much disappointment that I announced that
00:05Andrew Abdo joined the One Nation party and got going there for this afternoon.
00:10You all thought it was Tennis Australia but it's not. No, jokes aside, Andrew is leaving us
00:16to be the CEO of Tennis Australia. Needless to say, it's a very sad day for rugby league.
00:23Andrew has been the ultimate professional. He has been loyal. He has been hardworking.
00:30He has been every adjective I can think. I can't think of a better CEO. He has been
00:34by far the best CEO of the NRL. The rapid growth of the game in the last six years has
00:40been
00:40extraordinary. Today's a pretty emotional day for me. I love rugby league. It's part of
00:48my DNA. In professional sport, there are not many opportunities to take leadership positions.
00:54This was an incredibly life-changing opportunity for me leading rugby league through this period.
01:02And this is an opportunity for me to now push myself and learn and grow and develop and challenge
01:08myself in a, you know, in a different environment, in a different sport.
01:12I need to make sure to make sure that you should be a professional athlete.
01:12One of the best friends for the world has had to be in all of the world, in a different
01:12world. I need to make sure that you're in all of the camp, because you're in all of the
01:16youth. You can't always be on a different. You can't always be on a different mode.
