Trump says agreement to end Iran war 'largely negotiated'

00:07according to statements from U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
00:12Rubio on Sunday hinted that good news may be announced soon after Trump had announced on Saturday
00:18that a draft framework for an agreement was largely negotiated.
00:22So we've made some progress over the last 48 hours working with our partners in the Gulf region
00:26on an outline that could ultimately, if it succeeds, leave us not just with the completely open straits,
00:33and I mean open straits without tolls,
00:36and with addressing some of the key things that underpin what has been Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions in the past.
00:47Under the potential deal, Tehran would agree to give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium
00:52and the U.S. would end its blockade of Iran's ports,
00:55according to two regional officials close to the Pakistan-led negotiations.

01:04welcomed progress on a possible deal with Iran.
