What sights, sounds and smells remind you of Leeds the most?
Transcript
00:00What I love, I mean I'm from Burstall so coming down the M621 to town is like you'll see the
00:07skyline and it just kind of opens up as you're kind of going down and just gets bigger and bigger
00:11and every time I come into Lees or I do that route there's a new building, it just changes the
00:17whole time and I find it quite exciting really.
00:19Civic Hall, the white one up there, I love that because I've got the university just behind me and whenever
00:25I come up on a morning I always take another look at it because it's just a very good looking
00:29building really and the town hall as well.
00:32I think Elland Road because there's a lot of fans, there's a lot of atmosphere, I'm not a Leeds United
00:37myself but growing up I mean I've seen how football plays a bigger impact in the Leeds culture as well,
00:44I mean to be fair it's what you're going to see during match days.
00:47I think it depends on where you are in terms of smell, I mean where we are right now and
00:52it happens every single time, it's lush.
00:54The corn exchange, but it's changed a lot over the years but when I used to go there back in
00:58the day it used to be quite an indie place where you could go and buy things to make, bracelets,
01:03you could get beads, you could get really beautiful handmade objects and things like that.
01:08The smell of the street food which I love because I'm kind of, you know I do street food myself
01:12so I'm kind of always like seeing what's new.
01:14It's kind of a good thing that you don't know what the sounds are because I guess if you did
01:17know what the sounds were then that means there's something that's making noise but you know if you don't know
01:23what the sound is that's a good thing so I think the quietness is quite unique actually.
